Two things are involved :

1. The driver will most likely have his employment terminated by his employers.

2. If the company is aware of the auction they will send their procurement guys to do everything possible to win the bid and buy back the car for the company.

However, if the organization is not a nice one they will send the driver to multiple prisons after he must have served LASG's jail term ; his guarantor too will most likely not be spared by the company.

One way driving endangers everyone.

Last week my nephew died in an accident. They were picking him from school outside lagos. He driver and his dad's pa. The driver drove one way and ran into a trailer. Driver escaped. Nephew and pa died.

I was quick to tease the audience, appreciating the humour hovering around the hall, with the familiar jibe that nice men don’t make good leaders. By nice men I meant those who get easily manipulated and pressured to divert state resources to appeal to private expectations.

Unfortunately confiscation vehicles of offenders who drive against traffic is legal in Lagos State. Driving against traffic attarcats imprisonment and forfeiture of the vehicle to the government while other less serious traffic offences attract lesser punishment.

It’s perplexing! In the US, no police officer will impound your vehicle for either driving on the wrong way or committing some other traffic offense.

Yes, unfortunately, some people have been severely injured or killed by traffic offenders, but no one impounds the vehicle of the offender. The worst the offender would receive is a ticket.

When you drill it down most of these offenses are drivers passing back streets somewhere in Mushin or Ifako Ijaiye with little or no signage. Maybe a road being constructed and motorists passing adjoining streets.

They just wait ready to pounce on unsuspecting motorists. No road signs. Nothing.

You will hear these things and they will paint it like the person was driving Anini style on Sagamu-Benin expressway

See...if you check well..the people founds guilty,does it for some reasons...ranging from no signs..to emergency.... misdirection....seeing someobe did n went free...........

i have had some encounters with these set of people in benin


...I drove down to pick a friend close to central park in benin....my legs on break n i just asked one of d uniform guys if it is ideal to pick anyone close cos i was approaching d person in question.....d next i heard is make una enter dis motor...i just told my guy to order bolt that i would take care of these guys.......

4 of them was in my car n i just move them to a "5" junction n park in d middle causing a huge tradfic.....story short d scene was much n they just have to give in after forming nonsense lies.....


see....in "benin"whatever d puwovs says is final in d court....

..they works hand in hand...

in all...these people can confiscate my car with lies that wouldn't actually be verified if not videod
