Add 11 to a number on the left to get a he correspondending number on the right. Subtract 11 from a number on the right to get the corresponding number on the left. 66 + 11 = 77. 1 Like |

sayoddy: Let the numbers on either side of the blender be: x, y, z in that order. The rule for calculating the missing values is: x - 2y + z = 1 With this rule you can calculate the missing values given any two values. It applies to either side of the blender. 2 Likes 1 Share |

To find any figure we will make use of this general formula C = b+x+1 = a+x+x+1 Where X= b-a or c-b-1 To the questions A) The missing alphabet is in the position c = b+x+1 or a+x+x+1 To find x = b-a = 54-18 = 36 C = b + x+1 = 54+36+1= 91 Question (B) B is in first position which is a To find x without knowing a X= c-b-1 =42-62-1 =42-63 X=-18 Since b=a+x 62= a+(-18) 62= a-18 62-(-18)= a 62+18= a a =80 Therefore question B which is in first position =80 Question c is in second position b To find x without knowing b C=a+x+x+1 365=220+x+x+1 365=221+2x 2x= 365-221 2x= 144 x=72 To find b b=a+x = 220+72 =292 Question c = 292 Question D is in the third position c a=250 b=a+x 294= 250+x x= 294-250= 44 c= b+x+1 = 294+44+1 = 339 Question D is 339 Question E is in the first position a To find x without knowing a C= b+x+1 44= 30+x+1 44=31+x x=44-31=13 Now b=a+x 30= a+13 a=30-13 =17 Question E=17 Question F which is in the second position b To find x without b c= a+x+x+1 56=30+x+x+1 56=31+2x 2x=56-31 2x=25 x=12.5 b=a+x = 30+12.5 =42.5 Question F =42.5 Question G G is in the second position b To find x without knowing b C=a+x+x+1 83=60+x+x+1 83=61+2x 2x=83-61 2x=22 x=11 b=a+x b=60+11 =71 Question G =71 Question H H is in the third position c To find x, x=b-a x=72-61=11 x=11 c= b+x+1 = 72+11+1 =84 Question H= 84 Question I I is in the first position a To find x without a c=b+x+1 10.0= 8.5+x+1 10.0= 9.5+x x= 10.0-9.5 x=0.5 b =a+x 8.5= a+0.5 a=8.5-0.5= 8.0 Question I=8.0 Question J J is in the second position b To find x without knowing b c=a+x+x+1 10.5=5.5+x+x+1 10.5= 6.5+2x 2x= 10.5-6.5 2x=4.0 x=2.0 b=a+x b= 5.5+2.0 b =7.5 Question J= 7.5 I hope this help.
