wizybill:The problem with religion is double standards. Most people don't even write out of their own findings but what they learnt from their pastors. Apart from being stories, there are so many events addressing the realities for that age. A practical example is how people are trying to bring a conversation in Mathew.. 12:31 to us.. lol Now let me do my own conjecture 1theselonian 2: 18 18 Therefore we wanted to come to you—even I, Paul, time and again—but Satan STOPPED us. 19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus. Notice the principles... Satan(logistic problem) ... Hope and joy( an effort was made) So if for example in today's world, a pastor asks me, why didn't you go for that program and I said Satan stopped me...how would that sound in his ear.. A lot of you will still go back to another standard and ask; " how could you be bold with such reply...? you can do all things na through Christ that strengths you " |

DeepSight:I did not contest this! DeepSight:Prerogative means Overiding or Affirmatory Authority. DeepSight:It does not need to, although going by very very old books I have, I see that blasphemy is the joinder of 2 words which is "Blast-Infamy". https://www.nairaland.com/6306634/truth-past Infamy is already very wicked enough especially when such a game is not True Infamy- the state of being well known for some bad quality or deed. Only for a person to come and further 'blast' it up which means broadcast it. That is a very very bad and wicked thing to do. |

MaxInDHouse:lost false jw mad max truly, you false jw's speaking lies as your natural talk like the devil does, are satanists if you want to deny your over and over again habitual accusing and lying, then i will post some of your many false accusing and lies for you: Joh 8:44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, that is his natural way of speaking, for he is a liar and the father of lies. false jw, you love your constant lying even while knowing very well that JEHOVAH hates a lying tongue/a false witness that lies: Pro 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: Pro 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, Pro 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, Pro 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. |

Dtruthspeaker:No it does not! prerogative noun pre·rog·a·tive pri-ˈrä-gə-tiv 1 a : an exclusive or special right, power, or privilege: such as (1) : one belonging to an office or an official body (2) : one belonging to a person, group, or class of individuals (3) : one possessed by a nation as an attribute of sovereignty b : the discretionary power inhering in the British Crown 2 : a distinctive excellence https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/prerogative Only for a person to come and further 'blast' it up which means broadcast it. That is a very very bad and wicked thing to do.A thing being "very very bad and wicked" is an altogether different proposition from it being absolutely unforgiveable by an eternal God such that the doer of such a deed is irretrievably damned eternally, no matter how contrite or repentant he may become. One would think this idea is terribly at variance with the character and indeed mission of Christ as revealed in the New Testament. Especially when this said deed is as hazy and ill defined as the so called blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. |

DeepSight:Did you not see these words? And are these not Overiding Authorities? DeepSight:A thing which is unforgivable must be something which is very very bad and wicked. And we have seen it even in our natural living that we have often heard what some one did and we all confessed saying "dis thing is very bad o. Ah, dis one is unforgivable"! And after that, it is up to the offended to either forgive you or not which is what I have said already. Secondly, it was Christ Himself Who fore-warned, among His Teachings that there is He Who you must not take your business of sinning to. You also do not appreciate that whether Christ fore+warned us or not, that unfortunate circumstance is already there. Therefore, it is a goodness that we have already been forewarned! Exodus 23 20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. 21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him. |

Sin against the Holy Spirit is not the sin many people take it to be. For instance, it is not merely going against God as in not obeying the commandments of God. It is a willing and continual rejection of the Gospel of truth. It is deliberately resisting the commandments of God. For instance, an evangelist came to you and after your time together you realised that fornication can lead you to hell. Now what are you supposed to do? to keep away from the act, isn't it? But you kept away only for a while and then returned to the act. You have not sinned against the Holy Spirit yet. But if you continue to live in that sin and death meets you, the sin will not be forgiven. You have sinned against the Holy Spirit. Let me give you another example of sin against the Holy Spirit in Acts 7:51, it reads, "You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you" This statement was made by Stephen to the council of Israel called Sanhedren. From their forefathers till the time they had been killing the people of God for their selfish reasons. They were not ready to change their ways so they resisted the Holy Spirit by their hardheartedness. It is this hard-heartedness to yield to the Holy Spirit that constitutes sin against the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ told the pharesees that sin against the Father and the Son can be forgiven but sin against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven either in this world or in the world to come, why because such sin is deliberate rejection of the truth, they weren't ready at all to listen let alone repenting from their evil U did not explain what the sin is my dear. So many christians have been tot the wrong thing about this particular topic and you are one of them but if u wish to know the truth it me up on what's app 070 647 666 77 |

Dtruthspeaker:How do you read? Who do those words override? To say that a prerogative is an overriding or affirmatory authority is simply wrong sir. Because that suggests that there is someone else or something else being overridden or affirmed. This is not necessarily the case. It is simply an exclusive right, period. You don't need to be overriding or affirming anything or anyone. Its just your exclusive right, simple. A thing which is unforgivable must be something which is very very bad and wicked. All this is grammar. The facts are that - 1. There is no definition of blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, and thus it is meaningless: this is why people struggle with confusing explanations for it, and - 2. If there is any sin that remains unforgivable by the Christian rendition of God even after genuine repentance and contrition, then that rendition of God is questionable being self-contradictory in terms of being un-christlike. |

DeepSight:This is shocking! Does a person having a special right or privilege not have what we call veto power? When a police man arrests you is it not the DPO who can override that arrest by his special right and privilege? You ought not be saying this for every adult knows this. Does God not rule over all men, which is why I said "Forgiveness here is obtainable for a human being has an Oga (God), who he must obey and God too can cancel/overide his failure/inability to forgive." DeepSight:A DPO with no officers under him is no different from the begger under the bridge. DeepSight:It does not need to be explained or defined. It is sufficient that you know which things are good that you should do and which things are not good and evil that you should not do. DeepSight:Question all you want, but it will not change the fact that if and when you offend a Person with great Power eg soldiers or policemen in Nigeria, and if he does not forgive you, you already know that you are big trouble And no thing contradictory for it is already known that there is a place where sins can never be forgiven and ordinary common sense tells all of us not to go there. But as we know, people who want to die, will always pursue the things which cause death! |

DeepSight:Abuse me all you want, it would not change the fact that you are/were not supposed to pursue this at all. For eery adult knows that where there is an authority, there will also be people under his rule. A DPO has his police officers under his station, The Major has his soldiers under his command, the C.E.O has his staff under his company. The Judge has the people in his state under his Orders. The President/King/Governor of a State has the people in his territory under his control. Which is why we have words saying "Prerogative of Mercy, Presidential Pardon, Clemency, Leniency, Appeal, Amnesty etc". It is unbelievable that you do not not know these things or you feign not to know them. |

tctrills:Who said so? We are human who are bound to fall into sin occasionally, what is important is for us to be remorseful and repent from such sin. But a reprobate mind does not show remorse or show guilt, they continue and delight in their sin. |

blueAgent:Ok your point is that when we do not show remorse, we have committed an unforgivable sin? So what about the prodigal son? He abandoned his God and showed no remorse but when he finally returned, God forgave him. |

naijaclass:If you are not doing any sin, you are excused for all past sins The results of all your good actions will be separate and will not interfere with the cancellation of sins. God will give you good results for all your prayers and any prayer will not cancel even a trace of your sin. Similarly, your charity. If these good actions can reform you, then, your sins will be cancelled. Therefore, reformation of the soul is the only way by which God is pleased to cancel your sins. Even if you do not believe in God, it does not matter. If you are not doing any sin, you are excused for all past sins and you will live with immense happiness in the world and after death also. If you are doing a sin, you are going against the will of God You cannot please God by prayers and service simultaneously doing sins. If you are doing a sin, you are going against the will of God and you are insulting God. You cannot please and insult God simultaneously. Therefore, every devotee and servant of God should be careful about the concept of the sin and about the only path to cancel the sin. Punishment given for a sin is only to change the mind of the soul and purify it. There is no trace of revenge in this. The hell is an indication of the intensive love of God to the souls through which God wants to reform the souls. The hell indicates the hectic effort of God put on the soul to reform it and not to leave the soul for its fate. A father may leave his son since he is not changing inspite of all his efforts. But in the hell God puts serious effort and succeeds to change the soul. Therefore, even thousands of fathers cannot be equal to God. God is not leaving the soul without changing it and this point is indicated by the punishment and hell. Therefore, there is no point of excusing the Prarabhdas if this true basis is understood. God will try to change the soul through preaching as far as possible. Punishment in the hell is the last resort. Once the soul is reformed all the sins are smashed since there is neither the necessity of preaching nor the necessity of punishment. The Divine Father is taking the best care of each soul. Even the punishments given by God here on earth and hereafter in hell, only indicate His anxiety to reform the sinful soul, which is His child. Hell is the reflection of God’s highest kindness, which helps in reforming souls. Hell is not the reflection of His anger or desire for revenge. If we understand this very subtle point, we will be very peaceful about things taking place in this world. There is no error taking place in the divine administration. God gave freedom to all souls so that they could do whatever they felt was good. God helped the souls in determining what is good and what is bad by preaching to them through holy scriptures, holy devotees and holy Incarnations. Freedom means the complete freedom for all souls in this creation to act in any direction, without the slightest force on the mind, either here or in the upper worlds. God always preaches to every soul to bring the realization of the truth to the soul and to reform the soul. The soul is expected to realize and get reformed only through this knowledge introduced into the mind of the soul. It is the only way the soul can be saved. The only force used by God on the mind of a sinner is imparting knowledge. He does not use any physical force or miraculous power to reform the sinner. -By Shri Datta Swami www.universal-spirituality[.]org Universal Spirituality for World Peace |

AmbFmk:There shouldn't be any sin God cannot forgive but then unrepentant wrongdoers gives God no other option than to destroy them. The problem here is most Bible readers don't know the deeper meaning of the word "SIN" SIN connotes ERROR, whatever imperfect man does wrong no matter how worse it may seem in our own eyes is just like a mistake from God's standpoint so all what the sinner need is a reminder not to continue in his evil that's why God will send someone to warn him with an indisputable proof that the warner is God's spokesman but after all said and done if the wrongdoer refused to yield then his sin is no longer error but a deliberate challenge against God's sovereignty. The reason why Jesus called it sin against the Holy Spirit is that God won't come down to warn anyone it's a human like you that you'll see and the proof that such a warner is sent by God is what you will notice in him which you can't see anywhere else which is the backing of God's Holy Spirit. So refusal to yield to such warning means you dare God directly! When God sent Moses and Aaron to Pharaoh they're to deliver God's message and since Pharaoh himself is viewed by everyone as a god the Most High God made Moses whom Pharaoh knew very well as a common man a superior God over Pharaoh {Exodus 7:1} despite this Moses keep telling Pharaoh that it's another God still superior to him that's demanding the release of Israelites. But Pharaoh felt Moses only went somewhere to learn magical acts in order to take away the Israelites (Pharaoh's slaves) and become their King. So Pharaoh called out his own magicians to face the challenge but how did he sin against God's Holy Spirit? A time came that the magic practicing priests in Egypt declared to Pharaoh saying "Moses is not performing magic, this is the finger of God " Exodus 8:19 Despite that Pharaoh refused to let them go so God brought ten plagues upon the land of Egypt which never affected Goshen (the place where Israelites lived in Egypt) note that each plague was to tell Pharaoh and all his people that all the ten gods of Egypt are dead before the God of Israel yet Pharaoh's heart was obstinate. So God allowed him to pursue the Israelites into the bed of the red sea and destroyed him there. Pharaoh sinned not against man but God's Holy Spirit the force God displayed in Egypt! ![]() |
