What stealing? This is law passed by the Lagos State House of assembly. Don't break the law if you don't want your vehicle taken away from you. I never break the law and have no issues.

In fact I even have to look behind me to make sure no vehicle is speeding and close to me before stopping at red traffic light on Lekki expressway because most drivers never stop at traffic lights when LASTMA are not visible.

The commercial bus drivers do not even stop at traffic lights if LASTMA, VIO and Police are present. I don't believe many of you are from Lagos or drive in Lagos.

You simply don't appreciate how much of a nightmare it is for law-abidng drivers who cannot be more than 10% in my opinion.

It is unprincipled, cynical and attention-seeking. If you have ever driven in Lagos to note the lunacy of those who drive the wrong way deliberately then you will not hail the stupid act of the irresponsible Jandor.

What are you saying sef? Nigerians sometimes don't just respect the law and order. They're aware of the new law and the punishment. Why did they broke it? People like you will still blame the govt for congestion if accident occurs. A US president, Ulysses Grant was once arrested for overspeeding, and he paid the price, let alone a bus driver in the street. Considering how the number of accident that happens daily, you will know that the bus doesn't worth more than human life. The govt did well. At least let that send message to other defaulters out there. I wish other states will emulate Lagos.

Until someone close to u is killed by a one way driver, u will know fines alone won't solve this manaic.
So many mad drivers in Lagos. If u can drive without issues in Lagos, then u can drive anywhere in the world. Lagos drivers are deadly, it is only with grace for u to drive out and come back unscratched or bashed.
We really need to hold the bull by its horn. If we keep pampering nonsense, one day it will come to us.

Thank you. I believe many talking here are not Lagosians or do not drive in Lagos.

Only responsible Lagos drivers know the pain and frustration they go through daily with deliberate lawlessness and driving violations from other driver they know, at any time, can result in several deaths.

Fine them 20 times and they will re-offend because Lagos drivers are lawless and even LASTMA or VIO official that 'misbehaves' can still be lynched or run-over deliberately by violent and very irresponsible drivers in Lagos.

Sanity can never return to Lagos roads unless draconian laws are in place to really bend Lagosians, the most lawless people in the world in my opinion, towards behaving.
