How can a well trained police officer slap a civilian?
Re: Olumuyiwa Adejobi: You Have No Right To Respond If A Policeman Slaps You by aksule(m): 7:42am On Sep 19, 2022
I think you rather train the police and inculcate in them how to behave not giving them the right to be slapping people without retaliation. Of course it's wrong to attack any security personnel as it is also wrong for the security official to be slapping people in the name of using minimum force. We must protect our security personnel with human rights in our mind

Just imagine what a so called professional is saying in public. Respect is reciprocal means you earn respect, u don’t demand it! The police serve the public not the other way around, and with power comes responsibility. All this PRO just told the public is that the NPF is filled with irresponsible people who have no respect for the uniform they wear. Which actually is a worse crime, but irresponsible people will never think like that!

That's the right thing.

Nigerians will be forming James Bond with Police and other sisters agency but not with Army or Armed Robbers.

Also, it is when Armed Robbers begin to disturb them, that's when they would always realize that Police are necessary for any neighborhood.

MODIFIED: Well, I never said it's lawful for policemen to slap civilians, and I don't think that's what the OP said.

For clarification, what I mean is that Nigerians should stop looking at uniform personnel as their enemies. Not all of them are crooks, and not in every situations, do they go about looking for who to exploit.

Besides, Nigerians, especially, the struggling ones tend to see people above them as their enemies. They have disdain for all the Uniform personnel, Bankers, Politicians, Big Businessmen, "Nepa" staff, or just any other legitimate successful people that are not suffering like them.

This is wrong!

you are a confused thing

At what point can you apply self defence? One slap? Two, three or four?

There is nothing like self-defense when it involves law enforcement agents. None! You can only seek redress after. So, when being beaten by law enforcement agents, you try and deescalate the situation, survive the encounter then report.

So if Police Man slaps Military Man, that mean Nigeria slaps Nigeria and as such, Nigeria who is also the Military Man has the right to take law into his hand by responding with double resounding slaps.

It should go either ways. Police officers should have no right to assault someone with slaps. As a grown adult, it takes a special kind of endurance not to reciprocate any slap given to you

Not endurance but you neuron and motor are bad for me it's one to five o so don't try shit with me not everyone is a slave to death I will kill that officer and graciously await the next to kill officer even if they are hundreds I spontaneously become a beast with untold death venom.
This is not a stunt there are special being amongst men and am one of them so be careful jail no be for goat and don't go to prison for free earn it because men don't shed tear but Blood.
