Very true. One or more of us has had similar situations. But the fact remains that no one can tell tomorrow. Just as at this period some are saying bitcoin will crash to $13,000 , others are saying it will pump to $30,000.
So the dilemma is should I buy at the current price of $19500 and hope it will go up or should I wait till it falls to the $13,000 and buy at the dip. What is the assurance it won’t fall below $13,000? What if it starts rising till it gets to $100,000? Should I short at this $19,500 with the hope that it will fall? What if it doesn’t fall as speculated? There are so many uncertainties that is why we pray for God to enable us make the right decisions.

Watch out for ECB Press conference by 1:45 pm. I am still in my short position although i am in a loss at the moment as you can see in the picture below and the TIMESTAMP.

Rough idea. From $19500 :

28% dump = $14k
28% pump = $25k

Leverage for 30% move : 3X

You can go long on spot with $1500 and go short on futures with $500 using 3x or 4x leverage to hedge your spot position.

[b]Whatever you lose on spot, you gain in futures and the short won't be liquidated until 25k, or never liquidated if your move the $1500 btc into your futures wallet. [/b]This way you don't lose whichever way the market moves.

You ride the profitable leg to the max, close it and use it to DCA the other leg when market reverses.

Alternatively, you could open both long and short on futures with SL on both. One gets cancelled out and the other runs to net profit if you place your TPSL well.

If shorting on futures to hedge your spot position, a 90:10 ratio might be more cost effective but that will cover only 10% moves.

I lost that trade. Before then, I had won my previous three or four trades straight which I posted on this platform. After I watched the way people were celebrating gloriously for the one losing trade, I realised that the market dipping is giving people heart attack. So I stopped posting trades, I am still taking trades but it is pointless in posting trade ideas when what everyone secretly wants is for btc to hit 69k.

Bro, I just wanted to help but mehn, the people are good where they are. The reaction after the loss showed me that they don't need any analysis from anybody- what they need is a btc miracle. There are better things to do than produce a product that is not wanted. I've always said that I no dey compete with anybody. I never asked people to buy anything from me- even when I was posting trade ideas.
I actually like constructive criticism. I learned a lot from my loss. But criticism here is not constructive - it is mostly haters disguising themselves as constructive critics whilst adding nothing of note.
The thread has become 'what it is' - it's not even a case of "i was right'. It's a case of all the analysts are gamblers and hodling is the way- that is what a lot of people actually think about the forum. So, how do you give constructive criticism when no one is interested in the subject?
