Labour Party should stop playing to the gallery.

Who doesn't know that traders don't like rules?

In fact, they are also very dirty and stubborn. That's why most Nigerian marketplaces are dirty.

If shutting down the market will make them have sense, so be it.
Are those the two dirty markets in the state? What about markets dominated by Hausas and Yorubas?

Chai! Has Sanwo-Olu been to Ketu Market, Balogun?

Instead of shutting the markets, why don't you find the route cause.

I HV bn to Ladipo & I see inadequate waste disposal containers positioned and I HV witnesses those stationary containers offloaded from time to time

Maybe the containers are not enough, maybe the containers are not evacuated early enough. Solve the problem and bit shutting down selected the markets arbitrarily and indiscriminately...

First, there's nothing like Igbo market in Lagos. Lagos State is a Yoruba land.

Secondly, even the big markets in Aba, Onitsha and Enugu are dirty.

I don't do that tribalism nonsense with you people. I say it the way it is. If you don't like it, I don't give a hoot.
If big markets in Aba, Onitsha and Enugu are dirty, are the big markets in Lagos, Ibadan and Osogbo neat? You are a biased tribalist.

Ethnicity, we hide under it to perpetrate evils and raise national tension. Were the traders not warned earlier to play by the rules? So when the big stick was wielded then it becomes an ethnic issue. Where were the ethnic bigots and warlords when the traders were misbehaving. Let them go to the South East and constitute themselves into an environmental nuisance. Lagos accepts everybody.

A dirty market, its a mild description of the Ladipo market. I don't know how the traders survive in that vicinity. It looks like Oshodi of the 80s.

If the government have or had given warning and still no change den I support their actions

The way oyingbo market is now eehn, the way it was built is wrong.. na why e dey stuffy and those selling things along the road, close to the construction site where that bridge is and those selling on the land where fuel station was previously, they are so dirty, imagine selling crayfish on broken blocks and the water from the bridge being erected there made the ground an eyesore yet people dey put foodstuffs there to sell...when u go oyingbo for morning, u go know wetin I dey talk.. government needs to pull down that structure dey erected and called oyingbo ultra modern market, the construction is so terrible, how u expect food sellers to rent shops up? Build am to k-klamp model, but with bricks instead of containers.. and make spaces between each lines..more like mile 12 market, bariga market etc

This has been a festering problem within the markets.
Some people commenting here doesn't even know where these markets are.
Peter Obi should buy land, fence it and relocate these animals inside there.
You cannot drive from Fatai Atere junction to Toyota busstop because when you get to 'ogbo ewu', you are stuck all day.
There is nothing bad about shutting down the markets to clean them up.
The traders know themselves that they are worse than pigs.
