There is no best remote career option. I am saying this because most people would only think in one direction and end up getting stuck.

Most careers that can function in a “professional” office can also function remotely. The only difference is you would have to be very tech savvy.

Glad to hear that. I love to focus on how to fix things. So while I would always tell new freelancers of the glass ceiling, I always tell them they can do it too. My baby got an interview invitation yesterday and I told her whether she gets the job or not, she is doing something right! When I saw her proposal, I was impressed.

November would make it a year for me and it has been wonderful.

- Professional profile picture. Many Nigerians forget that they know Nigeria is a poor country. You will now go and snap near rusted burglary proof.
- Work experience
- Portfolio
- Short, captivating and error free profile overview.

Good proposal;
- Salutation (preferably with client’s name)
- Heading

- Demonstrate you read and understood the vacancy posting.

- SOLUTION. I see many people talking about where they schooled and how they schooled there. Except you went to Harvard or Princeton, no one cares. Until I was given a full-time role, my boss never asked if I went to university. So rather than whine about where you schooled, tell the client how you would do this job. Be specific, mention the tools you would use and give a basic process flow. Do this without saying too much. Just enough to make them want you.

- Portfolio. Attach your portfolio as a Google link. That way it is a click away.

- Call to action. Tell the client you are open to an interview. It shows CONFIDENCE. Many freelancers shy away from interviews.

- Close the cover letter.

I started as a QA engineer 2 years ago. I was paid in hard currency which was 4 times my medical job monthly salary.

Right now I am a DevOps/cloud architect engineer. The pay is real so good .

I would suggest you could Start with software testing .

°Copywriting
°Graphics designing
°Web design /Development
Etc.

And all these can be done remotely.

I won't deceive you though, These skills requires a lot of hard work and consistency to master but once you are very good at it, Omo, Na serious cash out o.

To top it up, in any skill or any thing you dey do, Sha know how to sell your self.

Know how to approach people / Organizations and market yourself to them.
