Faith in Jesus Christ means living one's life in continuous submission and obedience of the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant and Law in the Kingdom of God.

what the new covenant faith means is that we remain faithful in God no matter the challenges we go through. the speaker made an illustration by comparing what happened in the old tastament with what is happening in the new. He gave an example of Daniel when he was in the lions den and shadrach meshach and abednego when they were thrown in the fire because they refused to bow down to an idol,in both instances God intervened. however a lot of Christians died when the Romans persecuted believers during the time of Nero. they were burnt alive and fed to the lions while they were still breathing God didn't intervene. i am sure there are instances were God didn't intervene in certain matter concerning our lives and doubts had started to cast its shadow,in those instances Zak poonen is implying that we remain faithful to God and steadfast in faith and not give room to doubts even if God doesn't intervene in certain situations even unto death.This is what the new covenant faith entails. i agree with what you said, the same faith was demanded in them back in the old testament. In the past a lot of them believed because of what they saw God did but in the new testament we are told that we walk not by sight but by faith. All that zak poonen is saying is putting emphasis that even if we face challenges in which God doesnt intervene in, we should still walk by faith and believe in his faithfulness.

1. God also called the Israelites to walk by faith and not by sight, so that statement is in no way unique to those of the New Covenant.

Don't you ever wonder how come whenever your pulpit warriors talk of faith they tend to reference those of God's Old Covenant, all this while pretending it only happens in God's New Covenant? It is because scripturally, God has always demanded faith - continuous submission and obedience of His Laws - from all men beginning with Adam, and God has never once changed His mind about that requirement of His.

2. And what I am saying is that Faith that is defined differently from that taught by Jesus Christ is meaningless and worthless to those who practice it.
