Hello Oga pijay, How's life and work?
Any hint of DSSC recruitment this year?

I have said it before.
No DSSC Enlistment this year.
Hopefully they will announce next year.
For those of you with Department that have specialization, I will just advise you to get a professional certification.
Example: BSc Computer Science is not enough. Get CCNA certification, get ORACLE Certified Associate, etc
Accounting: Get ICAN
Logistic: Get Supply Chain certification
Etc.

Buh he said that's his passion navy or Air Force.
He registered yesterday.
Plz i have some questions on his behalf.

1. Hope they won't post him to like maiduguri to be fighting Boko boys (I love him o, ion want him to die )

2. He has ND, is it possible to convert to Commissioned officer? If he try to further his education? He will be 25 this December

3. Wat do you think his chances are, he choosed store attendant/keeper in his application form

4. He doesn't know how to swim

5. Plz what will they training like? Make him no die. Do you guys have less causalties during the trainings?

6. How often do they transferred them?

Conversion to commissioned officer is not automatic, same way you compete to enter the service is same way you will compete to be commission. You will have to meet same criteria's the people apply for DSSC have. Meaning you are applying again from scratch.

The same chances others that are applying for have. Even with his ND, he need to be at his best to have a chance. 300-700 people per state are applying and only 20-30 are picked for training.

They will teach him how to swim otherwise if he can’t learn, he will not be promoted.

Casualties are allow, we don’t advise weaklings to apply.

Posting is as a result of availability. If he is needed somewhere, he will be posted there.

Keep the energy alive and get all the necessary certificates cos DSSC will be very competitive now. Get professional certificates in your field cos it will be an added advantage.

The rate of retirement is not same as enlistment. Averagely 30 officers retire yearly and 200 officers are enlisted years. From Regulars, DSSC and SD Commission

Unfortunately the Special Duty (SD) Commission took the space of DSSC at this year cos a gap need to be filled.
The service need qualified experienced instructors and only the SD can fill that space. The SD are the Ratings with more than 15 to 20years of experiences.

General Advice to all.
Sort yourself and put yourself in a position that will make you the best. Check your foot and b sure you don’t have flat foot, check your urine especially the ladies and be sure there is no enof protein, be physically fit, if possible do ECG test too. Most importantly just practice past questions.

Nope.. Airforce DSSC Officers are currently training in NDA old site. They will pass out in December.
Army will continue where they have always be training theirs.
NN is not ready for DSSC yet. They have some space the want experience Special Duty Officers to fill like Instructors and others.
The next set of DSSC will be strictly specialist/professional in your chosen field.
