it's easy to get a similar range. you can even buy a Tesla battery separately and build your own car or use it as a power bank for solar. their technology can easily be stolen. they have pioneered battery tech and there is a new battery tech coming out soon. that will be next year. people at Uni can make an electric car that can beat the range of tesla. but can you have both range and Performance? Tesla's cars are beating Lamboginis and Bugatties in the performance drag races. and with somewhere updates, you can still milk more performance out of the Cars.

EVs have been around since the 1930s. the first internal combustion engine was using Hydrogen in 1806. so Hydrogen cars and EVs have been around forever.

it is not marketing. You have a lot of cheap android phones. Quality, Durability, and performance are the key. having better UI or the last 2days is not all you can use to say one company is not that good. it takes a company to do something to motivate others. Nokia was the leader. a lot of innovation and today they got exceeded. you cannot say they did not lay a blueprint for others or they are bad technology-wise. they still get royalties for the tech other companies to rely on.

Hydrogen takes too much process to make. it is too expensive to make and is very dangerous and it does not perform like EVs and Gasoline. it may be okay for just casual cars. and it is also redundant because the Hydrogen cell is used to power a battery which then runs the car.

This is something EVs are doing without the complexity of hydrogen. the only advantage over EVs is that you can fill your tank as fast as you fill your gasoline tanks.

I believe electric car will beat Lamborghini and co simply because they don't wait for fuel injection and combustion to accelerate. My cousin Nissan Leaf picks up speed at the click of a finger so there is no gainsaying that an electric can beat a high performance car in a short race, or be developed to do so over a longer race. I finally entered Tesla Model Y this summer and my guy showed me all the technology. So far as self driving is not on board, I don't see anything other car companies will not match quickly, if not already. I'm yet to enter any EV other than 2013 Nissan Leaf to confirm but I doubt others will be lagging behind, besides a lot of those differentials are optional extras that the average man wont pay for. If memory serves, he said he didn't pay for the summons option where you summon your car to come to you, neither would I. yep, they are 80 to 90% efficient while Gasoline goes through transmission, energy is lost(heat), and other factors. electric cars have higher torque too but in the long run or will time... as Gasoline accelerates, it will exceed the speed of the electric car.

the Model X was the one I controlled in London Westfield. the car is sexy. the dashboard is ugly though. just a big iPad-like screen. compared to modern interiors from Benz and BMW... I will say Tesla's simplicity is disappointing. it does not give a premium feel. but their sound systems are unmatched.
