I could remember that there was a counter Endsars protest in the north just to go against the southern youths. If you think things have changed overnight then you need to wake up to reality.

This is exactly what I was saying.
With the 3 leading candidates coming from the north, east and west, voting will likely run along those lines and each candidate is likely to amass no more than 30 percent of the total votes cast. Even the middlebelt is likely to fragment into western middle-belt, eastern middle-belt and northern middle-belt going respectively. With so much uncertainty and anxiety folks will likely vote along lines of their comfort zones.

Wike on the other hand has ended up taking himself out of the equation completely.
By burning every bridge out of the fortress island of isolation he has built around his polity and persona there is practically no way he can win a national election in the future.
