I don't know the salary but I know they make money outside the salary going for field data collections and the likes

Scientific Officer - 80k to 90k. Federal Ministry don't pay much like Agencies. Though there are other benefit, you grab

Federal Fire and Correctional Service are both under ministry of interior with same salary. Including Immigration and NSCDC. Same pay all.

But Federal Fire might be better because of less work stress compare to Correctional.

Fire service has the highest hazard allowance amongst paramilitary and they don't do much work except if you are in Abuja and even in Abuja you still have some days off. But prison has incentives at senior officer level so overall I think prison is better
