Jujutsu Kaisen 0 ......9/10

Solid piece of entertainment, action and storytelling. Mappa is GOATED!!
Damn, I always see Itadori Yuuji as one overpowered character but this Yuta Okhotsu, Omo this guy na nuclear weapon. cheesy
No wonder everyone was talking about him in Season 1.

This w@nkers had to painfully make someone wait this long. I just hope S2 production and release is expedited. Sadly, I'm struggling to see that with how full Mappa's hands seem tied with upcoming projects — AOT next season, Chainsaw Man and Hell's Paradise.
bro...Mappa staff go dey see hell...

Vinland Saga Season 2 also
One Punch Man season 3 grin

Their staff won't even get breaks

Yeah. Vinland Saga 2, I didn't want to include it cos it's not a MAPPA original. It's inherited from Studio WIT. I wonder what happened to them or the struggles they faced that made them drop it and AOT.

Wit studio didn't have time to animate AOT...
They couldn't meet up with the deadlines...that's why it takes so long for Wit to animate it and even their CGI when it was used was awful...

Mappa on the other hand have shown to be able to deliver quality even on a tight schedule...

That's why they're handling most of the big projects now...
Wit has so much work to do that they can't meet up with the time to animate Vinland Saga

Aren't they the production company themselves. Or they are just hired for the animation? If they are actually the developers and producers, isn't it wise to just push dates.

Well na them know sha. I somewhat wonder about these Japanese studios, cos it's not like they release over 10 shows a year. So their struggles with release dey weird to me, especially when you compare them to Hollywood studios. These ones are also just anime focused, so what's the delay?
Can't they just hire of they short-staffed.

Which big upcoming projects bis coming from Wit studio?

I honestly don't understand with Wit studio...
But they just spend a lot of time on their projects...
Also I noticed that they've been animating a lot of Netflix funded projects of late...

Right now, Mappa for me is the best anime studio...they've been dishing out quality consistently

And for Staff, I heard Mappa only have 300 staff and yet they working on so many projects...I'm guessing Mappa is bigger than Wit...
So the work load on Wit is quite much

It's because they're anime focused that these delays happen. You've got one studio working on 3 to 4 projects to be released in the same year so they obviously can't add another project.

If studios cared about being short-staffed, most of them wouldn't be working their staff into a hospital bed.

Both are first watches.
I'm guessing it's because the Weathering with You poster looks like the poster of another movie I've previously listed, Bubble.

You are in for a treat this weekend..solid...solid pick.

Yeah, Mappa is the bigger studio and they've got the big name being that most of the best anime released in the last decade are credited to them.

Wit and Studio Trigger have been increasingly working with Netflix.

another top studio is Ufotable...
But I'm not really a fan of their work aside from Fate Zero and Kara no Kyoukai (Garden of Sinners)

Their work is too colourful and mostly fits battle themed anime like Demon Slayer

TROP doesn't even trend on Twitter any more. People are fed up lmaooo.

House Of The Dragon is always the no 1 trending topic on twitter during their weekly episode release. But did you see TROP trend yesterday or the day before that?

Yeah, there's Ufotable.
Their notable work isn't that vast and I'm only interested in their Demon Slayer universe. True it's very colorful but I won't lie. The animation is top tier. grin

I'm not a Fate/ Night fan.

heard they used real fire for Demon Slayer...

Their animation is top tier...I just feel their style doesn't fit story focused shows...
E.g imagine Vinland Saga with that kind of animation

I'm probably judging them based on major Hollywood studios production capacity.
Forgotten not everyone has such large economies of scale.

Well the story being told also determine the animation style to be adopted. I don't expected a colorful setting such as Demon Slayer in a Vikings story.

Thank you for recommending 'Elvis' to me, DrDax. It was worth the watch.

Elvis' father was a weakling, to put it mildly. Quite sad the way he ended at that very young age

All My Friends Hate Me-

Most people will find it slow, but it is perfectly relatable. Twenty friends cannot play together for twenty years. People will change, and often times not for the better. What I love most about the movie is there is a dark presence hanging around the whole atmosphere that you can sense, but can't actually see. We are watching events unfold entirely from the main character's perspective, which is very relatable because every individual first of all sees life through their own perspective before anybody else's.

The movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. Brilliant movie

So who's the asshole? Could be Pete but the last line in the film got me thinking that maybe it's all an elaborate scheme cooked up to make him think he's being paranoid.

Speak No Evil (2022)

People respond different ways to immediate threat... fight, flight and freeze. How you respond determines your chance of survival.

Sinister villain. Creepier than 'The Quiet Place' but feels more hollow.
