abduleez1: When I first watched it, I haven't read the Garth Ennis Hellblazer comics so I enjoyed it for what it was. On second watch, i've read the comics and to my chagrin, I saw it's a terrible adaptation, so I didn't enjoy it as much. On the 3rd watch, I'm fully aware it's a terrible adaptation but I wanted to appraise it with a fresher perspective, and guess what, I liked how it ditched the source and did its own thing. My point is, if you don't see it as a direct adaptation but as a standalone film about a lung cancer afflicted chain-smoking exorcist trying to bribe his way into heaven but ends up getting entangled in a secret conspiracy between Mammon and Gabriel, it's a fun movie. 1 Like |

Midsommar (2019) : 5/10 This movie was quite humorous, especially the mating and dancing scenes. Lol Probably if I hadn't read a few lines of synopsis online, I might have been more intrigued. It gave Get Out vibes but it's not close. Get Out still the best, one of the things that made get out so endearing to me was that, the movie conclusion was gratifying. 1 Like |

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 ......9/10 Solid piece of entertainment, action and storytelling. Mappa is GOATED!! Damn, I always see Itadori Yuuji as one overpowered character but this Yuta Okhotsu, Omo this guy na nuclear weapon. No wonder everyone was talking about him in Season 1. This w@nkers had to painfully make someone wait this long. I just hope S2 production and release is expedited. Sadly, I'm struggling to see that with how full Mappa's hands seem tied with upcoming projects — AOT next season, Chainsaw Man and Hell's Paradise. |
