It took me some years to realize that religion serves a fundamental psychological need. It fills the gap with a want of importance. This is the only thing that makes most religious people think their lives worth something. They believe that one all mighty father is their father, they believe that they have a place made of gold waiting for them. It is all very silly, and you would think adults would laugh at this, but the truth is humans are weak and religion serves this weakness well. It takes a lot of strength to accept that you die once and not more important than mushroom or worms. It takes strength to accept that your life lies in your hands, and you have to take 100% responsibility, no Satan to blame and no god to hope in. religion is for the weak.

the most miserably people on earth are religious people. Look at the hindus in india. terrible poverty. go to northern nigeria and see how miserably these muslims are.
