Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar is set to begin his campaign for the 2023 presidential elections with a book launch.

The PDP candidate will launch 3 books on his leadership style, and contribution to democratic and constitutional growth in Nigeria in Abuja on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 – the day of the official commencement of campaigns for the 2023 presidential election

Atiku’s books which are titled; the Atiku Abubakar story, the Atiku Abubakar landmark constitutional law cases, Restructuring as pathway for unity and development; the Atiku Abubakar files, will be reviewed by Maxwell Michael Gidado, a professor of law at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Dignitaries expected at the book launch include former Vice-President; Arc. Namadi Sambo, former Commonwealth Secretary-General; Chief Emeka Anyaoku, FCT Senator; Philip Aduda as well as the Lamido Adamawa; Muhammadu Barkindo Musdafa.

THE WHISTLER reports that Atiku will be going into the campaign for the 2023 presidential polls with a divided PDP house as some stakeholders of the party pulled out of his campaign team over his insistence on retaining Iyorchia Ayu as the party national chairman.

Books that others write, just to append your name.

Restructuring that is preached heavily in the south and muted in the north.

The real restructuring is developing the other resources in the country and get them to also contribute to the centre.

Allocations should be locked by the FG for states and only released to match IGR with a factor of HDI. That is one thinking way of getting the state governments productive.

This is totally fine as long as it's the person's ideas and life philosophy. It's called biography.

Everyone can write but everyone isn't a writer.

At this most perilous moment in Nigeria’s history, I find Atiku as the right man to lead the country. There has never been a candidate more qualified for our nation’s highest office than Atiku. He has proven time and time again that his competence and capability to turn a hopeless situation around can not be underestimated.

As Vice President between 1999 and 2007, Atiku played a crucial role in upturning the damages of the military regimes on the country, accomplishing a lot, some of which include overseeing the process that paved the way for the liberalization of the telecommunication sector. During that time, Atiku gained wide experience– many of which would come in handy in the job of fixing Nigeria.

Atiku’s vision for building an economy that is strong and not reliant on oil derivation makes so much sense. Not only does Atiku have a plan to encourage active participation of the private sector in the growth of Nigeria’s economy, but he also has a plan to make sure it produced the trickle-down benefits enjoyed in many other parts of the world which does the same.

And assuring about Atiku is the fact that his ideas for Nigeria are not made in vague terms or failed promises, rather they are what has worked elsewhere and can work here too. His policy document in circulation showed he listens to the issues facing every average Nigerian and is ready to do something about them.

Atiku has promised a real effort to unite the country– the kind that will ensure “all Nigerians are equal and should be seen and treated equally.” This is reflected in his campaign theme of “ONE COUNTRY”, a clear commitment to bringing everyone together as ‘ONE PEOPLE’, making it impossible for the proponent of division to make any headway.

This is not just some campaign rhetoric– this is who Atiku is. This is more reason why Atiku is seen as a unifier. He has done it right in his home and can do it for Nigeria. The incentive for a united Nigeria is peace and stability, which are the core ingredients for the development and growth of any nation. The APC has mismanaged our diversity and Atiku is capable of keeping the country as one.

More is the promise of drafting as many as 40 percent of young people into his cabinet, providing them the needed exposure and experience in governance to take over from him. This will be a major shift in the country’s governance template, and one in the right direction, because for the very first time, we will have a president who truly understands the value of young people and does not only believe they are leaders of today but prepared to make it so.

With Atiku in the Aso Rock, we won’t have to wake up every morning worrying about policy inconsistencies and the attendant impact on our lives, nor will we have the fear that he will make decisions based on sentiments. Having Atiku as president will be having a man that knows the problem and has the right plans to address it. Nigeria will be a better place with Atiku as president.

Well done with the decorous promotion of your candidate but you're not fooling bright nairalanders or Nigerians.

Human and behavioral science is rather precise in it's ability to predict how a grown adult will always behave based on his past conduct.

Atiku has swapped Parties how many times again? Remind me. That behaviour shows disloyalty, selfishness, disinterest in the greater good, fickle character, lack of principles and a very ugly inability of an individual to see beyond what he alone want from a situation he is involved in that connects him with others whose needs he should take account of also.

Atiku only ever sees himself and what he wants. He is not loyal to anything or anyone.

Another example, per behavioral science, is Atiku's insistence in 2015 that it was the turn of the North to produce the President. He contested APC Primaries against Buhari and lost. The North has now had 8 years through Buhari.

If Atiku is principled, why is he going against his own words about equity, fairness and the notion of respecting the rights of others?

This is direct and open display of complete lack of principles aligned with a cynically calculative and callous nature that means Atiku will never be interested in what is right and just for all. He will ride roughshod over established laws and democratic/honorable principles to get his ways.

Finally, who lives away from a geographical space they claim they have the passion to lead and transform 3 years out of every 4 year period? In his free and spare time, Atiku prefers to live in Dubai showing he is spiritually, mentally and physically disengaged from Nigeria and Nigerians.

He is hardly vocal about solutions in Nigeria's time of need so far it is not election time.

What manner of President would he be? A terrible one no doubt. You are free to promote your choice but realities of his history and life shows we do not need to be Einstein to observe what behavioral science shows us that confirms Atiku will be a disastrous President.

Lol. Southerners won't believe Atiku and won't vote for him. Take that to the bank. His antecedent is well known to many Nigerians who can see that Atiku, regardless of any attractive talk, is someone who has never walked the walk and has only ever talked the talk.

You want to lead Nigeria yet you live in Dubai and only remember Nigeria in election year.

Atiku want to be President yet , after being VP and a considerably rich and influential Northerner, his native State of Adamawa cannot even be a template to show Atiku is completely dedicated to anything or anyone he is affiliated with.

Why can Atiku's Adamawa not be a template of his talk as Tinubu's Lagos is exemplary lauded as the transformational and leadership qualities of Jagaban?

Atiku is wrong bro. Do your thing and support him. He will fail spectacularly because Nigerians, Southerners anyway, know he is an unprincipled and cynical pretender.

What I find amusing about Nigerians like you is how you cannot simply defer to historical evidence of how leaders have conducted themselves to make logical conclusions about their potentials to succeed or fail.

That is what youths and adults do in advanced democracies. They shun sentiments and emotions to make sound choices based on what historical evidence conclusively shows them about those who wish to lead them.

Tinubu is not from Lagos. He is originally from Osun. Is Osun state any better after his stooges have governed the state for 12 straight years?
It's always easy to claim Lagos because of the money Lagos generates of itself. Tinubu installed Aregbe and Oyetola in Osun. Come and tell us how he performed wonders there

I can't confirm this but I don't remember hearing or reading any proffered solution , during the heights of the herdsmen crisis in the South, from Atiku or Obi.

Whereas Tinubu stood up to be counted and stated without equivocation that open grazing is no longer tenable. At least we know what to expect from Tinubu who always acts like a responsible leader when nothing is at stake unlike Atiku and Obi who show up to espouse rhetoric at election time.

If Atiku ,from his Dubai base, or Obi gave any suggestion at the time Tinubu contributed what is shown below then I would like to see it.

Atiku is simply desperate to be the next 'gatekeeper' of the North to the detriment of the South.
