Alba3:Finally!!!Thank you. Nigerians are very dull,so much so that it's sickening. Have they tried to use calabar, rivers port for business and anyone stops them? The answer is no. You don't expect shipping companies and large terminals to move to ports with little commercial traffic and charge low, they make up for that deficiency by inflating costs. Then people in the business do cost analyses and most times chose lagos Cos it's cheaper to receive products from there and truck it to your location and some dunces here are saying nonsense. Little wonder Nigeria is so poor, too many airheads in one space, tueh! |

rusher14:Have you ever discussed with a foreign shipping company about shipping your goods staraghit to Eastern ports? Try doing so and listen attentively to them on why it's costlier to do so. I have been doing so since 2003, so I know what I'm talking about. That policy started after the war and basically turned Nigeria into a one Port economy, an obvious economic disaster. Check the current freight charges to both the Eastern and Western ports, compare and contrast and get back to this thread to educate your readers on why those of Lagos must be cheaper... And while you're at it, don't ever throw in the "eastern pyrates" nonsense talks because the different charges have been there since the 70s! I'm waiting.. Not everything is tribalism |

Alba3:You seem to be the one lacking education. I live in Lagos and work at sea. That apapa axis has long become an eyesore now. The traffic on land and the water way from the anchorage to say, ijegun,is so unbearable. Don't even talk about hygiene cos those trailers parked on the entire stretch from a little bit after mile2 reeks of shhhiet form the drivers, boy and area boys who litter the areas!!!!! But sail away to warri, the port is empty! Sail to Calabar,it's basically empty. Same thing at PH.... Lagos is surrounded by Ogun state, also a coastal state but not a single functioning port. Ondo state, nothing,Onitha nko, nothing,my own state, Edo gelegele port, nothing... But tin can and apapa are like bee hives and the sad thing is,as huge as that stretch is,from that mile 2 area all the way down to apapa wharf, Nigerians cannot beat their chests and say they have decent jobs as staff there: virtually all the workers there are dock workers, stevedores, contract workers who don't even know who they are working for! Their meagre pay will pass thru like two hands before they receive it! The fed govt knows what they are doing and it's deliberate. If the north were coastal, ahhhhh, things would've changed long ago |

CASTOSVILLA:My brother, you are very valid. You have said it all. They know what they have been doing. The charges placed on clearing of goods in other ports asides from Lagos will make a common make have no choice than to go to Lagos. A working government my foot. |

You cannot afford to buy an original designer shirt if you get mind. Your phone is even Chinese made, what do you know. You're calling industrialist. Few of them. How many south westerners know about importation. Y'all will suffer if Nigeria divides....... |

KogiPikin:someone posted something intelligent and all you could come up with is a tribal slur, what a shame! Of what use is it,what benefit to Nigeria s,when other states have non functioning posts and Lagos port is overcrowded and people going through hell? These concentration attract people to Lagos in proportion it cannot handle. The choices are limited. Lagos state need serious decongestion and opening up other regions is a sure way to go |

For those town cryers who want to peme on top Lagos matter, here's a working port o. Stop spitting and saying FG is favoring Lagos above other ports. Funny enough, the people who have ports in their states don't complain, it the ones who are landlocked who cry the most, what an irony! That's for you to know that their problem is a generational cvrse which cannot be cured, the best solution is to let them go and continue eating themselves. |

Iceberg3:You guys must always nag! Whose fault is it if importers refuse to send their goods to those other ports? SW remains the safest region, hence people prefer to do business here. Go and make your place safe and condusive for business and stop the nagging abeg. And FG is not stopping any state govt from dredging a port, that's why they have governors, but you excuse their non performance, but always cry on the neck of my able Lagos govs. |

Alabaintprice:Who will suffer if Nigeria divides? The most backward region during the era of regionalism was South East. The only region that will suffer is South East. They contribute nothing except cimes |

Alabaintprice:That’s the mentality of an average zombies, they must sha import. So u r doing Nigeria a favour by importing fake products from China. Before China Nigeria have been dying coz they couldn’t afford American product abi? Must you people import? No wonder any govt that promotes industrialization always turn out to be your worst enemy. reason they have to kill Dora Akunyili cox she prevent them from producing fake drugs. Zombidients don’t care if the whole Nigeria burn, so far they can make money to live their fake rich-man live style. No wonder they r all rallying round a fake economics who use his life to import n wasted resources n did nothing for 8 years to be our president. God please hear our humble cry, Ipob sponsorer must not be our president |
