It’s an old audio but still valid if one were trying to understand the mentality of the man that is the running mate to a candidate whose health status is already giving much concern to the public. Loyalty to nation has to come before loyalty to party, or such a party becomes no different from a criminal enterprise. This is the man that has all but named himself commander in chief without recourse to his principal. It won’t be far fetched to conclude that the SE’n part of this nation would see worse than they’re currently experiencing under any administration controlled by such a self-entitled tribal chauvinist!

My problem is that a presidential candidate wants to remove import restrictions in Nigeria.

Like what the Bleep?

Within 2 months of such stupid policy the dollar reserve in the central bank will be empty.

Millions of employees will lose their jobs.

Even people that produce biscuit will close their factories.

It's scary in this e-commerce era where I can order for 1 million crates of eggs abroad, 200,000 cartons of frozen chicken online, and throw poultry farmers into joblessness.

Nigeria will suffer the worst balance of payment deficit ever known to humanity.

You are du mb bro.

Does the purported restrictions by the present government affect people like dangote, BUA etc?
Or is it not start-ups, SMEs that are suffering it?
Do you think they(Dangote and others) suffer lack of forex like start-ups, SMEs do?

BTW, his statement included both export and import, and forex, but in your dishonesty you decided to twist it to suit your ev il(dishonesty) purpose.

Well, it is very obvious you don't know anything on economics.

There is import restriction on cement that is why Dangote and Bua can successfully run their factories.

There's import restriction on noodles, that is why dufil (indomie) exists.

There is import restriction on some categories of pharmaceuticals, that is why emzor exists and employs pharmacy graduates every year.

There's import restriction on poultry that is why poultry farmers have jobs.

Removing import restriction contradicts the wish for Nigeria to become a producing economy because our fragile local manufacturers will be competing with manufacturers from countries with comparative advantage.

Nigeria will be a dumping ground.

What Of A presidential candidate that wants to employ 50 million youths into the military to fight insurgents?

Have you ever heard that before?

How will they be paid?

Which country in the world has a military of 20 million men?

Even China and India with the world's largest population doesn't have that kind of military.

And still people are still believing that he knows what he is doing.

In the wake of Corona virus pandemic and world economic downturn where countries were cutting down cost to support their affected public, he asked the federal government to start printing money.

For what?

This man prefer printing new notes than cutting down the cost of governance in a challenging period.

I can only appeal to our Igbo brothers to be circumspect in their actions. Playing ethnic card ALL d time could be dangerous. All ethnic groups in d country are ur enemies. Why is dialogue & diplomacy are an anathema to the Igbos? As powerful as the Yorubas are in this country, they understand d power of diplomacy which our Igbo brothers misconstrue as cowardice. How can other ethnic groups that make up d country trust Igbos when they continue to play politics of alienation & bitterness/hatred, especially in d light of where d Igbos are coming from( with respect to how d Civil war came about)? I hope Igbos don't bury themselves politically whether knowingly or unknowingly.

The APC adopted the same faith ticket in a country that has never attained nationhood. These warnings were not only ignored but dismissed in one fell swoop by the APC presidential candidate who strangely believes that he can build a strong, secure and viable nation-state without first forging a shared identity, vision and values for our people thereby enabling us transit from citizens of a country into a nation of people with strong shared identity and values. This moves by Tinubu just for the purpose of playing religious card to win Muslim votes up North, if allowed to sail through, can only bring disunity and religious crisis in the country Nigeria.
In their convoluted posturing, APC have placed state-building ahead of nation-building; a task never before achieved in history and we need no seer to tell us that such endeavor is guaranteed to end in spectacular failure. No divided people have ever built any civilization.
To demonstrate that the church is right, it is not alone in condemning the same faith ticket. Other prominent Islamic clerics and Muslim leaders have also spoken in the same light. It is a good omen that both Christian and Muslim elites are not complacent over this matter.
Thank God, Christians across the Nigeria have a very good choice in voting Peter Obi of the Labour Party to power come 2023. Peter Obi/Ahmed Datti ticket is the only choice that can truly restore peace and unify the country.
