CVR: INEC Deletes 2.7 Million Double Registrants, PVCs Ready November by chokekachy: 4:26pm On Oct 11, 2022
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Tuesday said new Permanent Voter Cards will be made available by November.

INEC Chairman Prof Mahmoud Yakubu said this at a National Endowment for Democracy event in Washington DC in the United States.

Yakubu said 2.7 million double registrations were weeded out of the last Continuous Voters Registration exercise conducted by the commission.

According to him, about 50% of the new PVCs are ready but yet to be distributed to collection centres.

In the future, INEC need to have validation at the point of registration to detect double registrants.

That will save them the stress of having to waste budget, logistics, and etc to register millions of new registrant that would eventually be deleted.

Dumb ince. Why can't the system detect the previous registration. To register nah war, to get PVC nah wahala.

They often ensure the system is stressful in other to discourage people from getting there pvc.
