What’s wrong with a desktop? I have a laptop but always run to my office to use my desktop. Mind you I have an inverter at home so power supply isn’t a problem.

I’m not used to laptops so I find it hard being productive for long when I use it.

The desktop experience for me is different, especially when I get to use multiple screens

There are too many good laptops at that price point but they are all fairly used. The only way to get a good laptop is to know the exact specifications you need then you can go online to look for the laptop with similar specs at the price you can afford.
Based on your budget, the minimum specs you should look out for are:
1) Processor: Intel Core i5 (any generation will do)
2) RAM: 8Gb (16Gb is better)
3) ROM: 256Gb - 500Gb (above is better)
4) Front facing camera (for video calls with clients)
5) Backlight keyboard (optional)

The best place to find laptops is Jiji. Just open Jiji and use the filter option to filter the results based on the specification listed above then purchase the one that is within your budget. Always make sure you collect your item and test it before paying.

Desktop when light no dey? If the guy is using prepaid meter, a desktop computer will pull more power than a laptop resulting in more electricity bill for the guy. With a HDMI cable, the guy can even connect his laptop to his TV if he needs a larger screen (that is if his TV has a large screen though)

UPS isn’t a bad idea. My point is desktops aren’t all that bad. For 80k you can get a cool desktop

Yeah, desktop is better for gaming setup when compared to gaming laptops
It offer better value for money and performance
But in the end portability is also a major buying factor.
No point in having a desktop without a dedicated graphics card.

I have one for sale , i bought it brand new 325k last year March . I have the receipt and pali. Na hp corei5 8th gen 256 ssd. I rarely use it. I’m selling for 230k . Non negotiable, no long talk. . Reason for sell?, no reason.

Get the hp elitebook i mentioned in my earlier post or better still, get apple macbook pro (do not buy air unless u wan dey use am type in ms word) .... and when buying, buy 2012 for a start .. u can upgrade the ram and storage yourself and also, it will run catalina 10.15.7 which will run adobe photoshop cc 2022 flawlessly ...

Na on top the 2012 i dey type this ... i've used mine for about 2 years to make money and i've upgraded to a 2015 (costlier but faster)...

That's how u start small and upgrade little by little till u become big

How much were they advertising brand new Peugeot 504, say in 1980?

Did you look at the prices of the item here was dated 2022? How much was dollar to naira then? How much was a litre of petrol?

In Australia the price of the aforementioned Peugeot from 1980 would probably be almost the same today. But this is the failed state of Nigeria
