I'm internalizing this news with mixed feelings cause it could be a REALLY good precursor that will finally put a stop to all the unrest and madness plaguing the East OR it could get even worse because Kanu might just have fed an infant that has blossomed into a monster that cannot be tamed, and that monster might come from Simon Ekpa's seeming rise to notoriety with all the armed factions under his command...will Kanu still have the authority to order all "ESN" factions to cease fire and maintain the peace? time will tell. But one incontrovertible underlining fact in all of this is that, I sense the hand of either the FG or some powerful political elites of Igbo extraction in negotiating the release of Kanu under certain conditions...and these conditions might either make or break Obi's presidential aspirations. |
