Maybe she would have done better in a different role but for this Galadriel character, she was definitely miscasted.

The showrunners got it all wrong.

How can your lead actress in a billion dollar show be so boring, bland and one dimensional.

The child actor that played young Aemond Targaryen in one episode of HOTD has done a much better acting job than this woman did in 6 episodes of ROP

It's either they improve the script or she's recasted...
Maybe a time skip or something but then she is an elf and definitely an adult...I'm not sure how a time skip would work to explain change of looks

I am sure you won't even enjoy shows like Westworld, Dark.
If i should ask now if you have watched dark and Westworld, you will say No.
Have you watched The handmaid tale?
Have you seen the crown?
Have you seen Versailles and shows like Reign?

If you haven't seen any of the shows I listed then i am sorry, the ring of power is not for you.

Your type of series are series like 24, money heist and movies like batman and co.

Slow dialogue and word building series and movies are not for you.
Because you will know that the visuals, word building and dialogues of the first five episodes have been 10/10

this show is so good, but has the worst marketing I've ever seen in an animated show

Most people don't know it exists...it only seems to travel by little word of mouth...good thing few of us here are spreading the word...

I didn't know it was renewed for season 2 already until I found the subreddit, which wasn't even easy to find and is full of same complaints about marketing

Even most sites of the high seas don't have it, some only upload episodes after several days of airing ...
Episode 8 seems out yet I can't find it anywhere

I think with the ring of power.
Viewers needs to be patient with the series, it's obvious many of the characters are still developing and there are more and more characters we will be seeing as the show goes on, especially in season 2.

Series like the ring of power requires patience and perseverance to watch.
Comparing it to the house of Dragon isn't right at all.
Because while the house of Dragon already have most of its characters, dragons and everything on standby, The ring of power is not So.
You can tell the story hasn't even started yet, they simply can't cover that vast many kingdoms and many people with different history all in one season.

From the elf's to the humans to the dwarf etc. The series is too vast it requires patience for it to click.

You can tell the sword Galadriel gave to Theo will come in handy in the future and there is a story behind it.

You can tell that the son of the commander of Numero that people thought Is dead isn't actually dead.
Looking at how his horse ran away into the mountains, you can tell the son is actually alive.

You can tell that even the person the orcs call master actually has a master he follows that the oaks you are seeing now are not the real creation of Sauron.

Going back to the Lord of the ring, you can actually have an idea how mighty and scary Sauron's oask and soldiers are.
From beats to dragons to monsters and many more.

We haven't even seen 1% of what this series has to offer and lastly you can tell there are lots of characters missing too.

Even those scary looking people that burnt the food stocks of the elf's, you can tell there is a reason they are tracing the huge man that came through a comet.
Where are they from?
Who sent them?
What's the name of their kingdom?
How many are they?
Are there others like them?

See!!! The ring of power can't be summarised in just one season, by the time we get to season 2 and 3 and 4, you will know why Amazon with their full confidence budgeted more than a billion dollars to the project.

Why do you think HBO are doing the new one for John snow and the rest?
Because they know the ring of power is likely going to reach 8 seasons, forget about the rating you are seeing now.

The ring of power will come out with a shocker when you begin to watch season 2, 3 and 4.

Nor be who first start race, Na dey end am.

As for Amazon's Rings of Power, their biggest mistake started when they hired first time showrunners for a billion dollar project.

I think she has tried though, i don't see anything wrong with her, she is a good actress, if they are going to leave her for the entire project, with time, people will start liking her as the stories progresses or maybe they can change her like In some time jump just like in the house of Dragon.
But you know these actresses becomes fan favourite as they are given more roles.
Right now, her role now is kind of limited.
I think we should give her time but to be honest, she is trying.

I am beginning to get use to seeing her face always, i love the way she portrays this character of a boss lady, she doesn't smile anyhow, her facial expression are top notch and i like the way the people fears and respect her.

I think she plays the role very well.

HOTD isn't meant to be up to 8 seasons bruh! 4 seasons at best. HBO also has other GOTverse shows in the pipeline. Amazon never get season 1 right na person wey don start the ball running already go come dey fear person wey just start to dey crawl.
You still dey struggle with S1 and you want make I dey waste my time dey bother about the next 7 seasons. You must be a Joker!!
With this kind of pace and quality, people will be fed up by Season 4.

HOTD has so many characters and some characters even have different actors and yet people care about each portrayal and are enjoying it.
Even with the numerous time jumps peeps still understand how it's going and what's to come.

In case you don forget, The Rings of Power is a prequel to the LOTR movies. So anything wey wan sup here, we don see am for the future LOTR and Hobbit movies.

Let's say it as it is. This show has all style and no substance. Na visual effects them just dey sell.

I can vividly remember Amazon's marketing before the show debut ..... Na astonishing visuals this ppl dey sell for promo instead of characters. While HBO was busy promoting their different houses.
Na for there you go know who serious and who they bet on billion dollar budget to save him yansh.

You are just writing as if the show will end in season 1, if they have already renewed it for even season 2 and three, do you think you know better than them?
Some people came together and dropped a whopping 1 billion dollars project on a series and you think they are dumb, they don't know what they are doing or they didn't see the blue print and the storyline of what the future of the series will look like.

Like i said, you think they don't know season 1 was going to be like this?
So why renew it for season 2 and even make a long term plan about more than 5 seasons.

Do you think they don't know what they are doing?
This is one billion we are talking about.

And the wheel of time is not trash, how can a series that have been renewed for Season 3 when they have yet to drop season 2, how can you say it's trash?

Go and see the media rounds the wheel of time season 2 is causing before you come on nairaland to criticise the series.

You are not in the planning room when the Investors were putting out the budget.
Don't assume you know or see what they saw for them to renew it for season 3 even when the public are yet to see season 2.

Make una dey calm down and learn how to watch series and movies with open minds.
Everything must not be a competition, learn to follow little by little.

This was how some people left the stranger things after few episodes in season 1, i personally even left the series but look at its success today and now i am regretting why i left it.

You just dey shout Billion dollars up and down. and you think someone can't spend that money and still end up with a flop? It's like you're new to Hollywood box office and financial accounting.
Or you haven't seen projects with humongous amount of money spent yet they flopped massively? Or you will say those ones that flopped the people were dumb abi or didn't plan to do sequels to it.

What I'm essentially saying is everything is a gamble and a hope that it brings profit or something of value to its producers and not whether it has 10 seasons to infinity. Nothing in Hollywood business is definite. Unless maybe you're Disney — even yet they get flops from time to time.


The CW shows like Flash, Arrow, Dynasty and the likes have almost 10 seasons of premium trash. Yet these shows kept going for that long.
The budget of a project or if they decide to plan for 50 seasons from the onset doesn't mean shit or affirms the quality of such project.

If you have quality, you have quality, no one can take it from you.

RoP is good but when you watch it concurrently with HOTD the flaws begins to show. Unfortunately, both shows will be compared inevitably as they are both big budget fantasy shows with the biggest fanbase as well as airing the same time.
RoP is 8/10 but when you seriously want to judge its actors prowess, you might be forced to remove -1.5 from the rating.

Been seeing interesting news leading to this Dune upcoming TV show. The cast been an interesting lineup.

HBO really angrily cooking up big budget shows aplenty for the foreseeable future.

Lol, at the bolded. All this things and more is what Galadriel of the LOTR movies is known for with Cate Blanchet's masterpiece acting.
Galadriel of old has this sort of mystery to the character as well as coldness as well as a feel of infinite wisdom in her.

This one is just plain annoying and nauseating and impetuous.

The writing for characters in this show has been piss poor. Cos I can't imagine a show of this magnitude and there's no single character I'm invested in for the past 6 weeks!! The fvvk!!!

So you dey expect me to wait for almost 8 years before I start to dey enjoy show??
