Dangote success is all because of power in the north(Buhari).
ONLY GOD KNOWS HOW MUCH HE'LL BE OWING FOR TAX NOW.
My experience last 3years with tax revenue officers was not funny, they almost locked up my 2shops but we drag am no be small grin
How na? When Jonathan (a southerner) was in power was when Dangote was at his richest point.

Most host community leaders prefer you give them the money make them share it.

Even govt officials prefer bribe instead of tax collection.
thats another angle to the problem.

Kogi State is fighting a just fight but what's the motive behind this action from Bello
You said kogi is fighting a just course , you're still asking the motive behind the action of the governor . Does Justice mean anything to Nigerian ? We don't care about justice in this country that's the reason why people in leadership positions do as they so wish because they Know nothing will happen. After logic and sound reasoning , basic human rights and Nigeria constitution is supposed to be introduced as subject in our primary schools.

Taking back what belongs to the state is the right thing. But is he taking it for the state to loot in return?

Nigerians always blaming government irresponsible actions on others. Is it the duty of dangote to provide hospitals, good roads and all other amenities ,when this same obajana local government is receive millions upon millions every month?
Except dangote isn't paying it's taxes regularly, of it is,what is the state government doing with local government allocation provided for this local government?
This seems to be the entitlement mentality of Africans ,once you are successful and living in an area they believe you should take responsibility for everything In that area.
Not siding dangote , because they too should have done one or two things as social responsibility in that area , even if it is just an hospital
Dangote ought to pay priority attention to the issue of CSR. It is a shame that the community where the largest cement factory in Africa is domicile haven't a good road, water and hospital.

Beside I was told that Dangote cement was granted pioneer status by the Federal government. It means the company doesn't pay tax to the federal government. It only pays PAYEE and withholding tax to the Kogi state government

Even my community down here in Rivers state where we have companies that isn't as big as Dangote cement, has built a storey building in our local school, given us water and a standard hospital. Every year my community nominates a project worth 50 million to be done by one of the coy operating in my community as part of it's CSR.

As the governor of the state I think he is in the right position to ask for what belongs to the state . if the fund is misappropriated, EfCC can go after him.

where is the CSR done by Kogi state govt from the 1 bn naira yearly tax paid as payee. Without Dangote group those okada rides will have zero passengers to carry and must relocate out . KOGI state govt is a faillure
TAX PAID AS PAYEE IS NOT DANGOTE'S OR THE COMPANY MONEY. IT IS THE WORKERS MONEY DEDUCTED FROM SALARY SOURCE PLEASE.
DON'T SUPPORT AND PLACATE THE GOVERNMENT BLINDLY.
WHAT HAS KANO STATE GIVEN TO DANGOTE THAT HE SPENT 7BILLION PLUS FOR HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION.
DID YOU SEE THE HEALTH CENTRE OF THAT COMMUNITY?
WHAT WOULD 1B DO WITH THE TRAFFIC OF THOSE TRUCKS IN THAT COMMUNITY?
HOW MUCH TAXES DO THEY PAY IN LAGOS STATE? ETC

I can go on and on.
CSR is the duty of the company giving back to the society they operate in and not government. Giving in other states where you have no operation apart from cement selling is not normal when you pollute another community and the best you did there was to paint a 3 bedroom flat.

Well, EFCC goes only after yahoo boys. I doubt if he can be persecuted for misappropriation of funds. Well, hopefully he gets what belongs to kogi people.

But dangote Sha...

One thing I know is, Dangote did not become a billionaire by signing shoddy contracts. Dangote even if he is cutting corners, will have international lawyers who will scrutinize all the loopholes and eventualities. If Kogi state had any concrete proof that Obajana was illegally bought, they would have approached the court long before now. Yahaya Bello is just an agbero trying to get Dangote's attention for a settlement.

You are just spewing trash, if the previous governors did not bother to check the abnormalties in the contract and GYB decide to check, what's wrong in that, how can a company aquire a state property without the knowledge of the state assembly.. Just jump and pass if you know nothing about this.. Ela.

This is why big co-operations don't invest in Nigeria. We like electing agberos to lead us, they just wake up one day to spoil multi-billion dollar businesses just because their personal interest is not included. These companies run on loans and can not afford to be grounded for months because of one agbero's personal interest. The Agbero knows the companies can't go to court because it will take years to get justice and by then interest on their loans alone will kill their business.

am not against CRS .Kano state is the main trading hub of Dangote .All the main dealers that Main Dangote who is he are in Kano markets . Know this and know peace .No trader can order 1 billion naira cement or sugar or flour in Kogi .but in Kano dangolola ,sambago order commodity worth billions .

In Nigeria: Yes.

Why is he doing this now? He has spent over 6years so why suddenly is he fighting for kogi people.

What's his endgame, is it personal or not.

And with Yahaya track record as governor that doesn't care about the welfare of the Citizens, it's safe to have doubt about his Intentions.

He's not a presidential candidate
He's served two terms as a Governor
He's not begging Dangote for money

It's never too late to right the wrong done to your people especially when you have the power to do it.

It could be his last score before leaving office. Last loot or last available money to steal

last loot? You need to go back and read the article on the agreement between Kogi and Dangote....It goes beyond financial gains

Nonetheless, the video is one -sided seemingly designed to bring bad publicity to the company. It appears no effort was made to speak to Dangote or showcase some of the good things Dangote did for the community like this one https://www.thecable.ng/dangote-completes-obajana-kabba-longest-concrete-road-in-nigeria/amp

Obajana is a multi-billion naira company that employs thousands of Kogi indigenes and settlers. It pays over a billion naira tax to the state government every year in PAYEE alone. People's livelihood and govt tax depends on the company being operational. The deplomatic thing to do when there is sensible grievance is to approach the courts. The workers will still earn their pay while the case is in court and govt will get it's taxes too. A win win for everyone.
.
Your position here is correct. My concern is simply that it shouldn't be treated as no matter.

All these is Kogi State government responsibility. It's not the responsibility of Dangote to build roads, schools and hospitals. It's the government's agreement and responsibility. Dangote only has a duty of care, which is conscience not law.
Ok if you argue CSR is a matter of conscience then pay your rightful taxes so govt can do the roads. I think that is Yahaya Bello's grouse.

Dangote's business is know to thrive on tax rebates.

It's criminal how the rich don't pay taxes in Nigeria and small businesses are shut down over taxes
