For some reason, any journalist, researcher, activist or civil society operator who decides to investigate, research, report on or just speak loudly about it tends to end up threatened, dead or exiled. Former CBN Deputy Governor Obadiah Mailafia played a central role in putting together the Silent Slaughter report that got Nigeria temporarily placed on a special U.S. diplomatic notice list. He died a few months later under unclear circumstances. Journalist and Southern Kaduna advocate Stephen Kefas extensively reported on genocidal attacks in the area. He was forced to flee Nigeria after surviving 3 separate attempts on his life including a chlorine gas attack on his bedroom.

West Africa Weekly contributor and 2015 CNN African Journalist of the Year Ibanga Isine embarked on an extensive investigation about the killings in 2021. He too was forced to flee Nigeria after his sources began dropping dead one after the other. Civil society advocate and Southern Kaduna indigene Ndi Kato continues to speak loudly about the genocidal attacks. For her trouble, she regularly faces intimidation and anonymous threats.

In this documentary, Abuja's beloved Street Reporter and Southern Kaduna native Beevan Magoni delves into the ongoing horror story of Southern Kaduna from the point of view of the victims themselves.

It's really painful! I first saw this kind of mass burial in Benue State while doing my NYSC during 2015 elections when I was a presiding officer for INEC. The only language killer herdsmen understands is an eye for an eye. If you can kill them, kill them else they will still come back and kill more of you. They are backed by prominent fulani people in Federal government and Nigeria armed forces.

It's not as easy as you say, especially when the government is backing the Fulani herdsmen, some communities have tried it and soldiers came back to kiil the people, this is what also caused problem in the south east, now the whole thing is messed up because of too many actors now taking advantage of the entire situation including the government both state and federal, people kill people there and put the blame on any actor because the federal and state government is not sincere in the fight to stop the herdsmen from killing ....

What baffles me most is that no single mainstream media house has reported about this genocide going on in Southern Kaduna.

I honestly think this is just the only permanent solution waiting for the world, the state and federal govt to stop the genocide is just a total waste of time and also giving the killers the mandate to completly wipe out the remaining indigeous population. Even if they die defending themselves it will be recorded that they didnt die as hopeless cowards the fulani killers themselves will also think twice any time they are coming for attack because they know the indigens are well armed.
