I know especially when I learnt in Law that to be convicted for any crime/sin/offence/trespass mens rea and actus reus must be present.

"men's rea" means "guilty mind" (guilty spirit) aka "commission of a crime in spirit" exactly what Christ said about being guilty in your mind, even without the physical adultery.

actus reus means "guilty acts" which means the physical accomplishment of your earlier guilty mind..
