British people just love to complain about everything..... there are no carers, you bring carers then the next song is why are they mainly immigrants .... yawn .

Few months ago flights were cancelled up and down due to lack of staffs in the airport, now you have a potential influx of dependent that can work in the airport, another complain that they are too much but yet you are making record figures in IHS and Visa fees. .... few years ago UNi were complaining of enrollment been down

Just sit and calculate 10 years or 5 years path to ilr and see the eye watering amount for even a family of 4

Make people live UK with their country . Let see how UK can really trive and grow without human capital . They talk that people are coming here for benefit yet there are many other countries with better benefit . Maybe they need to be taught a lesson. ... They complain just too much .

Leave them let there be no carer, no airport staffs, no fruit pickers, no drivers, no doctors ... let there be no staff so we can hear word
I say UK na scammers una say I be bad Belle ..continue

Generally, avoid cars with dual transmission (semi-autos).

Avoid French products.

Embrace Japanese and a few German products.

You can check this video for more:

I've confirmed a lot of what was said in the video with a few long-term taxi drivers and users in the UK.

This is insightful.
Thank you.

Hehehe I am not a lawmaker but i dont think it will affect those already here

UK Univerisities are already enjoying the money Intl students bring and how they help fill their classes

I believe they wont stop the dependent thing, but they will put a cap somewhere

That being said, they're torchlighting Nigeria but leaving China and India for some reason smiley

From the article -

The Home Office are considering restricting visa applications only to those who have completed studied in high-demand subject areas, such as engineering, the Times reports.

Just as I predicted

Can't blame them. Nigerians are not moving in order to study. One student visa is issued, then 6 dependent visas are also issued. Will all the 6 dependents work and contribute to their economy? No.

Went to one hospital the other day with someone

Literally all the nurses I came across were immigrants. Even the Doc who attended to us was from Iran

It was funny grin

So what do you think the dependents are going to do?

They can't access public funds so they don't collect benefits or anything like that. Therefore, if they are children the parents will be paying for their care etc.

If they are of working age they will definitely be working to earn money, and paying taxes as a result.

All of them will pay rent, buy food, clothes, travel etc etc.

Add to that the fact that they all pay IHS fee and it's clear that every dependent that comes in is a financial plus to the UK economy.

I don't begrudge them the right to restrict immigration for cultural reasons or to ease pressure on services/infrastructure but that talk of economy? Abegi

Please what does this part mean

The minimum monthly payment will be the highest of: £25 (or the amount owing if less) ...on the Credit Card terms? Does it mean if I don't use it in a month, I'd have to pay £25? @Lexusgs430 pls any idea about this?

If you don't use the card, no payment is due ........

But if you spent £35, your minimum payment would be £25.00..........

If you spend £700, only £25 payment is due...... This is the type of spending, that starts clocking interest, if balance is not cleared.......

With this type of card, ensure you always clear your balance...... grin

Nope. They still have 5 years to go before ILR. This is BRP with a permanent job (non medical/shortage list). So Visa fee per person was £1,423 before you add IHS for 5 years. Multiply by 4.

Visa fee £1,423? Which route is this please?

Sure, there would be adverse effects on the ordinary citizens (small businesses, landlords etc),the government (reduced revenue) and schools (International students will look elsewhere).
Already, the schools are complaining of low patronage from home students; reason for increased foreign student enrolment.

UK hasn’t really been fair to students. After spending so much, they just yank you off their system. Don’t they know education is a form of investment?

Mind you, there is a silent competition among these developed countries on enticing talents to their economies. That’s why they keep coming up with different immigration friendly policies

The UK is in a dilemma presently - failing economy, labour shortages in key sectors, the need to compete globally, ageing population etc and yet they have to source for the manpower elsewhere w/o high immigrant influx.
And they still want to milk these incoming immigrants of funds

I think, they should first secure their borders to discourage illegal immigrants while providing enabling environment for legal immigrants.

This confirms the screenshot.
If there is no strong opposition to this move, it will go thru and the UK economy will be the worse for it, as the ripple effect will be on the schools.

A pragmatic immigration policy that will encourage legal immigrants, bring in talents and discourage illegal immigrants is the way to go.

When it’s time to send illegal immigrants to Rwanda, NGOs will carry placards but look away when legal immigrants are impeded thru d means of law.

Presently, there seem to be a dearth of pragmatic politicians who can take the UK out of its present woes. The ones around now are clowns busy doing trial and error.

Just seeing this now. I hope uk immigration laws are not retrospective. Especially for those that are already here hoping to get 2 years Post work permit

We all know these categories of people (students) are not the cause of their economic woes but scoring cheap political point with the British public is a necessity for the Tories at this point.

Please help me out. I'm looking for accommodation for a single person, female, not a student, with valid immigration status in either Plumstead, Woolwich, Camberwell, Camden, Avery hill or basically Greenwich Borough or Bexley Borough.
I'm already searching through other means, just using this means to expand the search.
My email address is on my status.
Thanks. smiley

You people should come to my rescue o, my phone suddenly died yesterday night, Looking at it, it might cost up to 500 to fix considering what I’m seeing on their website.

My question is, I’m just 2 months in, can I get a contract phone or just buy another one outrightly?

Which store or outlet will allow contract? Is buying used phone advisable also here? If I was in home, Nairaland deal hunters would have been best bet

@lexusgs460, justwise and all. Please advise me.
