no they do not provide for my needs, pads , toiletries , clothes ,my hair and money , every girl child needs money but my parents don't know that , if I tell them , they'll give me money to buy tissue which is unhygienic, I got lucky and found a man that covers those things for me and more but they were against that too , took my phone away and sent me back to our dry village , I live in their house and if there's food I eat but most times I lose my appetite coz I'm not happy , I wish they would disappear , one or both of them

I'm tired and I don't want to runaway , i just need advice on what to do

Pls, how can one go for Nysc and not return home. I'm thinking of that already, even though I'm in my penultimate year, but I can foresee that life at home after NYSC will be hell for me. I don't have the courage to face that. I'm 23 as well

you can start by applying for jobs in the state you are posted for NYSC and also make sure u try and save some money from your service, u can try and Make good female friends over there too

Look for a course in another city far away or a masters degree. Preferably a handwork or a skill acquisition programme. When you are ready to leave, inform them only, do not seek for approval

You're an adult now, talk to them, know their fears and try to assure them. don't blame them, parents will always be parents but let them know its better they give you free hand but let them know who and who is your friend, in that case its a win win situation. some 23 years old are married but don't tell them that and stop praying stupid prayer because of your parents trying to keep you safe, pls go edit your post and be careful what you carelessly wish or hope for.
