Why use expensive missiles that requires sophistication technology to produce, with each costing millions of dollars, when you can use cheaper drones costing just 20k dollars each and can be easily replenished unlike the sophisticated missiles that requires high end chips to manufacture, especially now that chips are not in abundant supply world wide presently

I think the US for example is aware of the shipment as far back as August, hence reason for sanctioning an Iranian firm below. It's just funny that Iran is denying.

Right after it assumed power, the Biden administration lifted the sanctions on Iranian weapons export and now the Ukrainians are paying the price as these are all Iranian made kamikaze drones.

You are mixing things up.

Sanction waiver the US gave under Biden allowed Russian, Chinese and European companies to carry out non-proliferation work at Iranian nuclear sites. It's nothing to do with weapon export and import.

Russia has some of the best weapons in the world. They are a weapon manufacturing country. They are well loaded. But, why would you waste such classic weapons on Ukraine only for USA to do a reverse engineering on it? Thats foolishness. You buy a cheaper one if possible and preserve your classic weapons for NATO.

That's what Russia is doing, and it's all common sense. But alas, na kids full here.
