The Cedi is still stronger than Naira, though the degree of devaluation of the Cedi is higher than Naira.

Let me use an analogy. If you are on the 10th floor and you drop to the 6th floor that's 4 floors depreciation. But if you are at 2nd floor and remain there, that is zero depreciation but that doesn't make you better than the person on the 6th floor.

Although Ghana currency has weaken vs dollar, the value of Ghana currency (cedi) is Still better than Naira. Look at this picture:
Ghana cedi is now valued at .091 per US dollar.
Nigeria Naira is now valued at .0023 per US dollar.

What the above stats mean is that, if you a Nigerian or Ghanaian and you want to import foreign goods, you get more value using Ghanain currency than Naira.
