There is no word to describe this level of suffering. The canoe is now the bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. People are suffering and the government palliative may not even reach her , whatever way you can assist please don't hesitate.

Before the flood saga, this is how fishermen and most market women live their lives in riverine areas.

I've been in a boat conveying market women, we stayed 3 days inside the boat. The market women really took care of me as a corp member. I chop fish tire. They cooked varieties of food inside the boat.

As unfortunate as it is, there are people who live their lives like this. Even in Lagos.
It is said that those people cannot live on land.

There are some situations that are just beyond human power.

It's a market boat. It's massive with deckings. The boat moves slowly cos of loads and the size. There are stops at some creeks to pick other market women. A stop can take 2 hours or less, you can do whatever at any stop.

The experience is best imagined. You wouldn't want to be meal to mosquitoes every night with no remedy except to stay down with market women with their mosquito coils burning. I hate the smell of mosquito coils, so I always stay upstairs every night burning my innocent leaf.

Na sachet water o. The market women were benevolent to attend to most of my needs.
