Proves that despite the hairy chest beating, markets like Alaba have no bearing on lagos finances. Lagos can lock the place for six months without batting eyelids. We know the leaches that’ll suffer more tho. I implore the lasg to lock the market till late next year to teach flat heads lesson.

I suggest permanent closure of that den of rogues, usurpers and criminals and relocation to a new site in the hinterland

This is one of the many problems with you Igbo;you tend to see yourselves in such a way that others don't see you actually ! You guys talk too much and often times, senselessly ! What is Alaba market to the Lagos state government that it can't lock it up indefinitely and throw away its key ! Do you think Lagos is Abia or any of your of states in alaigbo ? Even, the economy of your five regional states combined is a token compare to that of Lagos state alone ! So,what nonsense are you saying that that dirty place can't be permanently locked up ?

Trust me,if you Igbo are not careful in Lagos and in the entire South West region going forward, you'll have series of unimaginable problems with the Yoruba people. You are taking our accommodating and friendly nature far too much for granted ! You guys must be silly if you assume that even those in government (In SW) are not pissed off by your highly irritating attitudes and highly unguarded talks ! You Igbo are honestly not wise and very stupid ! Most Yoruba are now very conscious of the fact that you Igbo hate them and want to see to their destruction! If you allow us to "reason your matter" just a bit beyond the level it is now,....hmmm,all of you -from Gala hawkers to auto spare parts dealers, office workers, etc will regret ever stepping your ugly yam legs on our soil ! You Igbo are irritably toxic, primitive and too loud; you can't be tolerated anywhere outside of your own region !

You guys will eventually talk your silly selves to parmanent demolition of that Alaba market, just continue to dey misyarn as you always like to do,foolish people !

NOW that the market is closed, it's "90" percent Yorubas and Hausas?

Una dey craze!!!!
The issue with most of you yorouba comes from deep stereotype.
If for example I tell you a trader in Tradefair or Alaba was arrested for an offence, what will be a typical yorouba imagination of the tribe of the trader, same way you heard Nigerians were targeted in Ghana and South Africa. A typical yorouba man deep stereotype will always be lazy to think beyond stereotype. Same way when someone refuse to obey traffic law, the next thing you see even educated among you will reply " go back to your village" As if the offender must be igbo .
That deep hate is actually affecting the hardworking ones among you.

Have you lived in Lagos long enough to understand exactly how inter tribal marriage and business shapes lagos. Do you think the hate began since end Sars.

A typical yorouba man will prefer an igbo behave like aboki so that he/she can feel important. Igbo consciousness scares them alot. This is not about igbo hating yoroubas, its about igbo speaking for themselves, enjoying their own music, believing in an igbo leader and fighting powers that be in southern Nigeria like Tinubu who want status quo to remain thesame.

Far back 2007, yoroubas have been attacking igbo shops both in Ebutta meta and Outskirt of Ladipo to loot their goods . Its a weekly occurrence. Even till today, most shop still close because of same idiots.

Did you see the IGR of Lagos? How much do you think Lagos is making from the petty traders in Alaba most of whom are tax evaders?
You think Alaba is petty trading? You must be an economic illiterate then. Every electronics and mobile gadgets consumed in Nigeria passes through that Market. 80% of the imports in Nigeria goes to that market... Go and mark it somewhere, Lagos can't keep that market closed for more than one week. And at the end Agberos will be on the losing side. What a lazy lot!

Closing that shops will affect many household that depend on that market for their daily bread especially IGBOS.

No need for them to pack . They just need to be respectful and stay as a good neighbour. What infuriate Yorubas is the way IGBOS shout Lagos is no man land.

I know many IGBOS that lived happily with their neighbour ; they live as a same country men and women without any tribal fights.

You better start building very good bridges with your Igbo or Hausa brothers o.. No state, especially Lagos state is NOT free from the ravaging flood. Ikeja didn't find it funny after a 30mins-45mins rain yesterday. So don't spite anyone with nature's doings.. e get why.

Please how does "intertribal marriage and business" shape Lagos ? I don't know what you mean by that honestly. I however know that most Yoruba family will definitely reject Igbo hands in marriage and that did not just start today. The reason is that we don't share same values and as such don't like mixing our blood with yours !
My mum is a Princess from Isale Eko,dad from Osogbo, born in Lagos and have lived all my life in Lagos and outside of Nigeria. You can find all of this in my previous comments and threads here on Nairaland. Now,tell me what I don't know Igbo man ?

Your second paragraph is actually laughable ! You should know for a fact that Yoruba people don't actually care much about how anybody chooses to live their lives as long as it does not affect our own (Yoruba) ways of life and most importantly, our peace ! Yoruba are not competing with Igbo or any other tribe in Nigeria;what is even there to compete for ? If there is that tribe in Nigeria and indeed Africa, that does its things in its own way and set records for others to emulate,it is the Yoruba people. You may check the records,we have made (still making) our marks in all fields of human endeavors. Even as at that time that the progenitors of today's chest beaters were still hobnobbing with some primitive apes in Alaigbo, the Yoruba were busy setting paces and making jaw dropping achievements ! Some of our cities were even far better than some European cities. Did the Yoruba not get Televission station and other amenities - Olympic standard stadium,Skyscraper, etc even before the likes of Spain and France ?! All of these are verifiable fact;the records are there for all to see - we set the pace !

Come to think of it,why do you think a certain Nnamdi Azikiwe,Igbo man from the Eastern Region preferred instead,to be the Premier of the Yoruba Western Region ? E get why na ! The story hasn't even changed much till today and that's why your people still keep arriving in droves in Yoruba land to prosper and have an experience of living a decent life;something that is not readily available in your own enclave !

You see,you again assume that the so called "Abokis" (Hausa) are stupid for choosing to respect their hosts and not label their host community land as a no man's land like you Igbo ! The "Abokis" and other Nigerians are not insensitive like you guys and that is the difference ! You Igbo truly need to wise up ! Why is it that it is only Igbo that are being attacked from Lagos to Pretoria,Accra to Dubai,Malaysia to India,Bayelsa to Kano,Akure to Sokoto and everywhere ?! Why ? Everybody is envious of "Igbo success" right ? Is Dangote an Igbo man ? Is Otedola from Anambra ? Are you in anyway better than other people ? Admit it or not there is something inherently wrong with the Igbo;everybody cannot hate you all at the same time !

You need to understand that only a foolish man will leave his own house very dirty and unkempt while claiming to be the cleaner (developer) of another man's house ! If you think everybody is envious of the so called "Igbo man success",why don't you take that your success to your erosion ravaged land in alaigbo ? You Igbo are irritably toxic and can't be tolerated anywhere outside of your land;it is a fact !
