When something is bad will should condemn it and and not trying to act smart. If you know you would not visit why ask him to book a flight for you and you now redirect it to see another guy. It has nothing to do with if the guy is broke or not. Now he is asking for his money back, kindly return it or ask the guy you visited to pay.
