Politicians are heartless. People you didn't employ in 4 years, you now suddenly put to work to create problems for the incoming administration. How do you want them to be paid?
Same man who couldn't repay debt nor pay salaries of employees fully. Very wicked and heartless bunch.

After ASUU strike, politicians again using youth employment to play politics.
Whether APC members or not, they are 12000 unemployed Nigerian youths given employment to play politics and the in coming governor will plunge them back into the street as jobless youths.
APC/PDP, why always inflicting pains on Nigerians?
After almost 4 years, oyetola did not see the need for youth employment until he lost election and won't be responsible for their salary.
Then adeleke is already threatening sack because they belong to APC.
The aged and infant who will depend on this 12000 youths in osun are all APC?
Wickedness of the Nigerian politician irrespective of political party

We have been warning members of the public not to engage in such bankrupting agenda. We had also issued several statements declaring such employment exercise a nullity.

Members of the public are not to blame, considering the unemployment rate in the country
Funny thing is, maybe some of them even paid bribes to get the positions.

It's similar to those people who hurriedly built filling stations along Owerri-Umuahia road after hearing rumours the government was making plans to construct and expand the road. They were expecting to receive compensation from the government for any demolition work.

Unfortunately, the government has not done anything about the road so far... And I expect any government that comes in to do the road to ensure no compensation is paid to them

Right now, Oyetola is still the governor.

Wait your turn if it happens
PDP is just making noise all over the state. Who even told them Adeleke will become the governor considering the case at tribunal? Hope they know that the high court judgement that nullified Oyetola as the credible candidate of APC has just been dismissed by appeal court. Let's wait and see what the outcome of tribunal would be before jumping up and down on social media. A strong case of over voting is before the tribunal. We shall see

Adeleke only reclaimed his stollen mandate. We all saw how he was forced on osun ppl. If not coercion and vote buying, the margin would've been large
that's because voters were hungry under oyetolla who couldn't pay salary. What is he trying to do with 12000 workers when older employees are being owed. If the state was financially buoyant, why are employees owed?

Is it a Nigerian thing, or an African thing? undecided
Not a nigerian thing. There is, in fact, a political economy theory that speaks to this, where an incumbent builds up deficits and debt to be inherited by an incoming admin, due mainly because of differing political ideology. But lass lass our political parties nor really get any ideology

Is there a law that says that a governor cannot employ people after losing reelection? Must governance stop in the state because the governor lost election?
4years in power u didn’t employ 12,000 people minus others u have employed before. Then immediately u lose election u employ 12,000 overnight.

. Why are people supporting this politically motivated employment made by Gov. Oyetola with bad intentions?. Yes, the Governor has d right to employ people but, why did he have to wait till when he has lost re-election?.He had enough time to employ people after he must have planned how to provide the Money that will be taking care of their Salaries and Allowances.

If he had won his re-election, he wouldn't have rushed to employ 12k persons immediately. This shows that he wants to make things very difficult for the incoming Governor. Do you know how much it will cost to take care of the additional 12k workers in a poor state like Osun?. How much does the state get every Month?. This is unacceptable !!! If I'm the incoming Governor, I will still advise the Osun people to stay aware from this Satanic Employment because I will surely terminate it once I take charge.

Amaechi kick-started the employment process
of the 13,000 teachers in March 2013 and the teachers resumed work August 2013. Whereas the election that brought Wike in was 2015. So your argument is unfounded, lame and without substance. I was a beneficiary of that employment. Though I have left the teaching profession owing to lack of promotion by Wike. So don't twist fact.

The employment Amaechi did six months to the end of his tenure were the lecturers in Kenpoly. Of which Wike terminated the process leading to their employment Even the sacked lecturers have won the state government at the National Industrial Court.

And how is Wike the best if I may ask?

Osun made a mistake with this gbeff!

Na Aregbesola I blame. He couldn't see beyond his nose. He should have given Oyetola a little support considering how Oyetola turned Osun IGR around from 7b to 21b..

Regardless of his problem with Oyetola, he should have given him a little support. If you want to support someone else, it should be someone with substance, not a gbeff like this dancer.

I also felt Oyetola didn't talk much during the debate. He should have talked about how he paid the debt left by Aregbesola. Paid the salaries arrears of workers unpaid by Aregbesola. Also, Osun didn't borrow any money throughout Oyetola's tenure. I really don't know why he didn't talk. He's obviously someone who doesn't talk much.

I for example only learned about the high IGR increment under Oyetola after the election. From 7b to 21b... He did well tbh.
How? He didnt pay workers for months.

I won't lie to you, despite the fact I'm a native if Ede land, and also very happy to have the governor of my state coming from my hpme town, but truth be told Ademola as a governor can't offer anything, we even try to passuade Adeleke family to present a prolific person that can run the affair of the state effectively, but the statement ulter by their elder brother Adedeji was he can't sponaor anybody that's not of their mother's child.

A governor’s tenure is four years and he can make appointment till his last day in office.

Are the people employed qualified or not? Was due process followed in the employment? Are they Osun state indigenes? If the answer to all these questions are in the affirmative, it will be very wrong and a bad way to start if the new governor sack all these people simply for political reasons. Osun belongs to everybody irrespective of party affiliation. Adeleke should be governor to all and not governor to PDP members alone.
PDP have always be a one-sided party, during Oyinlola tenure, before you can get any emoyment even at local government council, you must be a member of PDP, attending their weekly ward and local meeting regularly otherwise you'll forfeit the job.

When Aregbesola took manadate from him 2010, out of Aregbesola first O'Yes batch of 20,000 scheme, the first10,000 batch released were being selected on merit without interference of political members so as you meet the requirement while the remaining 10,000 was based on politics, weather you're qualified or not, once your name is being forwarded and you registered online.
