I was in a cab today and my ears were deafened with the arguments justifying the ills of Buhari's administration. I was shell shocked, just left them to their follies minding my business.

Nigeria borrows because we spend a lot importing things which we don't manufacture...which puts more pressure on our forex earnings from oil....which forces us to take on more loans.

Also, we take loans because we sell oil....whose price is never where we want it to be, and which we cannot set, and we need it to be at least 120 dollars per barrel...on a conistent basis, mind.....and when the price dips below sustenance level...we take loans or we starve.

He also said if borrowing is a crime, people should stop using Lexus etc (which are not from Nigeria of course). The IBOS are 98% of Obi supporters in South West. They take Obi support as a warfare. This is the reason estimated 13,000 IBOS can sign petition register against Reno Omokri within few days (4 days) for writing against Obi. If such register had been opened for Tinubu or Atiku whom Reno has attacked more than Obi, you can hardly get 50 people to sign such register. Well, I absoultuey don't want to see Tinubu in aso rock, even as a tourist. But there is some truth in what he said....and it also boils down to what Obi too has said about us being more of a producer than consumer.

Think about it, we import a lot of stuff. Like the phones, computers, etc you use to get onto this site. And that helps to strain the dollar.

A broken clock is right twice a day, you know. That does not mean we should keep it.

Also, all I have said is true. And one reason why I don't like any of the candidates is that I am yet to see any plan from them to get us urgently off oil. They all say the same thing in different ways.
