I understand that you’re confused and I can simplify it for you.

The economic development you see in Lagos today is as result of a something called OPPRESSIVE CAPITALISM that was kickstarted in Lagos when Nigeria was a colony. The same reason why Europeans chose to exploit Nigeria through Lagos, is the same reason why foreign investment troop into Lagos; it’s strategic location. And this has nothing to do with the governors. Whatever development you see in Lagos is private.

For the government, one of the tools in which we can measure government performance is HDI. The tax from the private sector/foreign investment can be used to improve human development through life expectancy, standard of living and education. If you live in Lagos, you’d know that all of these are terrible. Life expectancy is 61 years(ease of transport and traffic gridlocks, security), standard of living of the proletariat is low(no housing, no water), the sch system is so bad, public sch teachers don’t send their own kids to public schools.

If Abia, Zamfara or Benue was in that location, they would be the Lagos of today.

In conclusion, using HDI, there are definitely worse governors than Lagos state governors but you must be able to measure the ratio of the state’s history, factors of production, strategic location which all defines their ability to create revenue and then the revenue to the HDI.

So you need to forget all these houses and Venza and Gwagon you see in Lekki, they’re empty and private and have nothing to do with our govt and look at the proletariat and the less privileged, this is where you see true government involvement.
I understand what you mean, judging by your words why didn’t other states strive hard to have government functionaries infrastructure to bring development in their states? See delta for instance have refineries that don’t longer work even seaport that’s abandoned,. No international airport so tell me how will such a state attract foreign investors? Even they use their tribal fight to chase out all oil companies that supposed to give our own people employment, see don’t be sentimental in terms of thinking Lagos is developing is not like the way it is 20yrs ago, give some of these south south and eastern governor such money use in running Lagos they will convert it to their personal use and leave their states in retarded conditions, I am not saying the people governing Lagos aren’t corrupt but let’s be sincere right from the time of Tinubu till date the state has been moving forward, nor be APC urchins for Dey happy for this comment I nor like una but I must speak the truth regardless

Suspicious.
Could be a deliberate act to cover-up a crime.
In America, the FBI would have investigated the details of the refuse in the truck.

Where have you been so we can compare notes.

Hiding behind anonymity to be making noise.

By the time I provide evidence you'll disappear.

I have dared you.

Why not tell us where you've been so we can compare notes.

Even if you were an air hostess (though I know it is a guy behind this moniker), I am certain I have been to far more places than you.

Seyi, but it’s boldly written there, no casualties. Surprised you watched only the video without reading the write up.

Dem for just abandon the truck, considering total cost of recovery + stress to commuters.
Its an environmental harzard.

It's fuel will sip out and kill marine organisms and consequently kills fishing in that zone.

It will constitute a wreck obstructing safe navigation of marine crafts.

It could lead to a more catastrophy because it would reduce the charted depth and passenger ferries may ground over it causing hundreds of lives to be lost.

The truck will be back in service once dried up.

You can see the advantage of retrieving it far outweighs leaving it there. The economic advantage is enormous.

That's what any developed country would do anyway.
