Have you been to Mexico before? The average Mexican has it better than an average South African yet the "one way migration" of many a mexican that flood that American border on a daily basis is very evident. If Morpheus's premise states that Mexicans have it better than South Africans on all economic indicators, the inference from this statement would be that they have a greater degree of infrastructure, higher GDP per capita and a more sophisticated welfare systems run by their governments, in comparison to South Africa, yet they are running to the borders.

The above observation would therefore negate the premise which states that the presence of "all the above "mentioned variables plays a determining role in the decision of a citizenry to stay primarily within their borders.

If premise 1 therefore negates premise 2 logically, then what is the conclusion?

The primary reason would therefore be the levels of "poverty" in relative terms.

The fact that you don't see a large contingent of this" poverty class" of South Africans exiting the country en masse cannot stem from the so called "fantastic infrastructure" or the so called 'stable" democratic structures( because this also exists in Mexico) but more so on the inability or ignorance of this "poverty class" of citizenry to access alternatives outside of their structural confines or maximize their individual utility within a broader global economic structure.
