According to the information recently made public by source knowledgeable of the activities within the Atiku camp, Abubakar Atiku wworking in tandem with the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal – devised a plan to work around the banned placed on Atiku from visiting the USA.

The plan by the two northern politicians was to enable Atiku enter the USA without being arrest by the USA security forces who had begun an investigation where Atiku was indicted for charges relating to money laundering that dates back to 2006. Atiku has not been able to give the USA since 2006 owing to the fear of arrest.
