How to start? Well I did the most logical thing and sold my dependable honda for a Benz 10 years older..C124 1989 coupe..the drive was pleasantly different..power was up a lil....my honda was manual, no slouch when kept in the VTECH rev range. The problem started 2 weeks later I knew I was going to have some troubles but boy was I unprepared for the headache called Bosch continuous injection system...

I learnt fast the in and out then came to the realization that it was a loosing battle, parts were scarce and often in bad state.

Option 1 junk the motor buy a c class m111 4 cylinder engine
And convert.

Option 2 convert the m103 6 cylinder to EFI

I chose option 2 because it's harder....really its because I already have one( lowest budget possible), and the need to experiment ....and I love the howl of the 6 when revved hard!!!!

After so much research, head scratching, parts scrouging

This has subsequently been swapped with a m11.975 kompressor engine after running the DIY setup for about 2 years. The engine is now being controlled by a professionally made standalone controller LPC8 by Baldur from www.controls.is . All wiring and tuning has been done here by me.

Chai! Hearing the sound of that engine got me like . You sir; have done very well in terms of this conversion. I am sure this vehicle would serve you many more years. Apart from the engine did you make any other subtle changes to the car in terms of suspension, brakes, steering rack?

With big engine comes 'big" Brake upgrade for the V8 190e. Will be using parts readily available in our local market here
