TheSuperNerd:
Nigeria up 2-0.

A fine direct freekick goal.

And a penalty.

Full time score - U23
Nigeria 2-0 Tanzania (3-1 Aggregate)

Timileyi Ogunniyi - 61
Success Makanjuola - 68 (Penalty)

Nigeria faces either Guinea/Uganda for next round

One of a positive trait regarding osimehn that is unnoticeable is his unselfish attitude. There was a time that, he was direct at goal and could had shoot instead he passed it to his opponents. It isn’t his first time showing an unselfish attitude

Nice one from Osimhen today
He should be competing with Mbappe & Haaland
It’s about time

So the female teams and u23 teams are still dorning the old sporting jerseys, does it mean the NFF don't have a brand manager.

Little things they should be efficient at is always rocket science to them, smh

My boy Kalu is back. Had a good game for Watford today. The coach rate him highly and he didn't disappoint. Dribbled 5 players before winning the corner kick that led to Watford's goal. If he can stay fit he will be too good for the championship.

Look at Osimhen's first goal today, it was all down to the perfect first touch. First touch is so important.
If I were a coach coaching little boys, I will spend lots of time teaching them or improving their first touch until it becomes instinctive. I consider Dennis Bergkamp and Zinedine Zidane as the players with the best first touch. France 98, Argentina v Holland, Bergkamp's goal is so sublime but it's all so because of the deftness and tenderness of his first touch

They need to improve if they want to win the u23 youth championship

Makanjuola success, the captain of the u23 team, is a direct super eagles material.

He is good no doubt but I beg to disagree. Playing Tanzania U23 is a different ballgame. Though, If he keeps improving and get a good move abroad, he may soon get a chance in SE.

its not a fact... put Moffi in the current Napoli and Moffi will score similar to Osimhen..

It's not about who's is better its about "are they scoring goals" and the answer is yes..

its talks like that, that prevents Nigerian coaches from calling up good players...

you guys forget that they are not foreign born so their european career growth most times is gradual..

People here are saying nonsense like Osimhen should go to Chelsea or even E:ngland knowing fully well that if he goes to E:ngland they will turn him to winger or wing back and then the E:nglish media will label him a flop...

I believe it has been established beyond doubt that Osimhen is a world class striker that has all the potential to reach the top. The only issue seem to be injury.. His first season in the Ligue 1 was classy and if not for COVID-19,he could have hit 20 goals or more in the Serie A.. Let's hope he stays injury free... His development over the years has been remarkable. Just 5 years ago he was struggling at Wolfsburg and some already wrote him off...

If his legs cannot carry him he should just retire before he rubbishes his records. Thing is that he's set himself up to be in competition with Messi. Body go tell am

Messi's chance of winning another Balon d'or before retirement is even higher than his own..Lol..
Messi hasn't lost most of the skills that not only made him a fantastic goalscorer but also one of the world best playmaker... I believe that's where he has an edge over Ronaldo.... Without his pace,he can still dribble and assist too..
