When the Western World need a leader, they choose the best among them no matter the age or tribe. Just the best and nothing more. No corruption or criminal baggage - just pure, clean, educated, civil and sound.

When it's time for Nigeria to choose their leader, same people supports and funds the worst among us; they use their media and our own media to make such bad choice popular - all targeted to keep Nigeria on a rocking chair, busy going nowhere. Nigeria has to be humble and a dependent member of the loyal stooges of countries - so, they need no good leader.

Locally, we wilfully make victims of ourselves by voting for Money personified, and later go back to Church to disturb God to get us a leader, - a leader that we willingly failed to produce by ourselves. We concentrate on tribe, ethnicity, partisanship, religion and instant monetary benefits while good leadership keeps eluding us.

Most of this current British PM's mates in Nigerian politics are hardly allowed to come close to power. We, the Youths are only reduced to jostling to be media Aids to the old de facto politicians, insulting their political enemies on social media on their behalf to collect peanuts. Our beautiful and energetic women reduced to glory singers group.

Those that have sane society did not pray for it, they worked for it. We keep asking God for good leaders in our prayers, when it is time to vote, we choose the bad ones with sugar cane in their hands. After election, the sugar disappears and the cane appears to flog everyone mercilessly.

We can't keep pretending that all is well while falling deep into the well. Dollar to Naira is trying to hit the sky already, that is why you no longer afford things you used to afford before. Trust that the market will embarrass that money you have in your hand. That's where we've kept ourselves. I blame no one, except us. Not God, not Satan is responsible for our suffering; we are.

I pray we all find solace in a good leader come 2023 as suffering and poverty knows no ethnicity, political party, religion or tribe.

Western nations don't choose the best leaders. Most of their leaders are at best mediocre, and not competent.

What they do well is holding leaders to account...which can help make the worst leader do very very well.

Here in Nigeria, most of us are content with what we have. Most of those who shout at their leaders prefer to shout at the Aso rock inhabitants, and not at their state or LGA leaders, and most of those shouting at Aso rock do it because they are left out of the sharing of cake.

Also, in the West, they realise that things cost money, and they act likewise.

Here in Nigeria, we want government to give us things for free...and when the resulting freebie giveaways damages our economy, we then blame the whites. We don't have a working refinery or a working power sector because most of us want free power and free refined product...because we are poor apparently.

Yes because it is true

Subsides which make petrol cheap also means that the sector cannot make money to repair and fix refineries, and also fuels the corruption in the sector..free money.

The same thing happens in the power sector.

We have a working GSM sector because we allow them set their prices, meaning they can make enough of a profit to supply us a lot of the services we enjoy.

The problem with subsides is that they can.never cover the cost of production due to rising cost of the same production.

Developed countries offer subsides but it is for their very poor and to protect some industries. And they pay for it from taxing everyone in the country. Nigeria doesn't do that.

If my memory serves me well, it was Nigerian who voted for Buhari not Americans.
Learn to take responsibility. Stop the blame game.
