You should have put back the old brain box and do another scan

I put back the old brain box, but it's still the same (only cranks but not starting),and the key and battery sign on dashboard that shows with the new brainbox isn't showing on the old brainbox.

Good evening everyone, this is not a repair or fault issue.

I want to sell my HONDA CRV 2008, relocation soon. But the issue is, just recently, the AC evaporator started leaking so the AC chills on one side, the alternator doesn't charge well, the engine too started making one funny noise, all together this past month o. the mechanic said its oil pump, gave him almost 100k to fix it, but two weeks down, the noise has started creeping back, took it back to him. It came back with a weird sound. To make matter worse, my lil brother has spoilt the key hole outside the driver side.

Basically, I am extremely busy with Japa plans and do not have any time to fix anything or argue with a mechanic. So I want to sell it off as it is, I also need money ASAP. Are there people/places where they sell cars in the conditions mentioned above? I puut it up on Jiji but nothing substantial so far. Willing to sell below 2m so the buyer can fix whatever, since CRVs go for over 2m currently.

Please point in the right direction. You can also send a DM if you're interested. Thanks

For new owner to enjoy the car with no headache, the car will need a new alternator, condenser and compressor, and a tokunbo engine, new key/ingnition system.

1.2m looks more like a decent price to accommodate these variables.

Private chat me the photos 08034288798

Cheers

Without picture or videos showing the current overall state of the car, how would anyone appraise the car’s worth?

Hello House,

Please, assist with your advice.

I changed my 4cyl EOD gear recently because it revs and jerks while changing to a higher gear. I was able to resolve the issue with that.

Now, it just jerks when I try to accelerate in low gear, no revs. I have changed plugs, and a bad engine seat, still same. I scanned it, no check error code.

Please, help!

Please, I want to get a 2011/2013 Honda Accord. I did reserch and discovered that the seat is one of the major complaints. Someone who owns one should give an insight of how it feels driving it over a long distance.

Good evening House!...

I have an ISSUE!!!

The car is a 2001 Honda Odyssey.

While driving yesterday, the car engine suddenly went off...but all the lights on the dashboard and the radio/headlamps were still working.

I had to clear from the road, and tried starting it again.
When I turned the key, there was no response.
The engine doesn't start or revolve...but the lights on the dashboard were showing.
I had to leave it.

This morning, I called an auto-electrician to check it.
In the process, he turned on the ignition with the key from inside, then he came out, opened the bonnet and attached a wire to the kick starter and touched it on the battery terminal and the Engine started without hesitation.
He then put the engine off, loosed the cover under the steering and did some wire cut-and-join connections and the car was able to start NORMALLY from the inside.

I paid and he left.

I drove the car to work and came back this evening without any issue.

This night I wanted to go out, and when I turned the ignition, the car failed to start(no engine crank) but I noticed a noise, I opened the bonnet and something attached to the kick-starter was making a continuous sound (like a fan on high speed).

I turned of the ignition immediately and removed the key, but the thing was still revolving.
I then had to disconnect the battery terminals and it stopped.

I just called the electrician and complained.
He said he will come tommorrow and check.

I have a feeling that something isn't right with the work he did. Maybe he did some bypass and now it's backfiring.

What could be the possible initial issue with my car before the electrician did this job?

Please I need Expert Advice now so that I can be equipped to face him tommorrow

What happened to your vehicle at first was that a certain wire that goes from your ignition fuse in your under hood fusebox to your kickstarter was malfunctioning/corroded and the electrician came and first attached a wire to that particular corroded wire and touched it in your positive battery terminal to kickstart your engine (this is how they test if your kickstarter is bad or it’s a wiring fault)

He then decided to cut off the corroded portion of that wire and attach a new one but he must have miscalculated the extent of the corrosion and cut off a bit of the bad wire and left some behind before joining his new wire, that’s why the problem came back again.

When next he comes tell him to trace the entire wire from the kickstarter to the fusebox and replace it. Give him enough money to buy a good replacement wire to do the job so it doesn’t come back again.

It’s somewhere in the fusebox under your hood.

Seats being an issue or not depends on the height of the driver. The only way to know is to test drive the vehicle.

Give a better description of your problem. When exactly does the jerk occur? When you depressed the throttle or when the gears are getting ready to change?

Still on this sir, the mechanic changed the transmission fluid and some seals. He told me they don’t wanna tamper with the gear, so I was asked to be driving it on D3 (which I’m not so comfortable with) please does driving on D3 have any repercussions?

And the issue still persists. I still have the “D” blinking and the car rises as high as 4k rpm which I don’t think it’s normal. Makes the car sound like it’s over working.

I’m still going to do a scan and get the codes. But please if anyone has any opinion/experience on this before I proceed.

Change or service the gear selector sensor, it's usually by the side of the drivers tire attached to gearbox. U can also service all sensors attached to the brain box.

Thanks for your response.

It when jerks the gear is getting ready to change. It happens mostly in the afternoon.
My mech has serviced the gear switch. Still no improvement.

Please I need expert advice on the issue I'm facing currently
It's a 2008 Accord EX-L V6
I'm experiencing misfire, petrol appears to be discharging directly on the cylinders (you can smell petrol strongly in the cabin and exhaust, smokes)...this is causing hard start until the petrol burns off completely and the engine revs itself to about 2000rpm even when it's idling....also, there's loss of power sometimes and the check engine light blinks
If the car is allowed to test for a while, when you start the engine, it appears ok but a minute later, the engine just starts to rev itself and then immediately you start smelling petrol all over
Fuel consumption is insane
Plugs, ignition coils, injector noozles have all been changed but the problem remains....even ignition timing has been checked. Scan results always show misfire related codes only.
turns out it was a faulty alternator that was messing up the car's performance!
