Yet a huge number of individuals and companies still do not pay taxes in Lagos especially MSME's and those in the informal sector.

An average Mechanic, vulcanizer, fashion designer or carpenter in Lagos does not pay tax.

If 70% of Lagos income is from tax, it tell us that Lagos has been place under heavy yoke of taxes, ranging from from bus drivers to other citizens.
