LMAO! US media has been playing with all manner of controversial subjects from the earliest days of film so what exactly is new about them depicting same sex coupling? How come you aren't complaining this stridently about the depiction of guns and violence that have been a major staple in US media since forever? It's same sex coupling that is tickling your outrage. To be fair though the use of media is a well known cultural dominance tactic, even the Chinese are beginning to get into the game but cultural dominance is not the same as forcing people to be LGBTQ, that's a simplistic way of viewing it. Nations have interests and the more favourably other nations view their culture the more favourably they are likely to be treated. This is the same reason why embassies throw parties, it's not just to eat and drink but to influence their invitees to view them favourably. Also why they don't invite Mr Man on the Street to such parties, they don't really care about him because he has little to no influence. Creating a cultural acceptance of their own cultural norms is called soft power and honestly the US have used it quite well.
