It's Only in Nigeria that you will see a lot of already made people (some are either already working class or successful entrepreneurers) and still searching for federal government work, thereby reducing poor man's chances that doesn't have anything to rely on after the whole process.

I feel attacked by this comment. I am working with an FG agency that runs a Social Security Scheme. I am a Certified Electrical Engineer and have been practicing before the Government Job. I worked hard to get the practical knowledge not from classroom, ask what it takes to get a COREN certification; okay? I got that too… all of a sudden i was given a job I didn’t apply for. I definitely appreciate it but I DON’T FEEL PRODUCTIVE. Since as a student, my dream has been to work with NERC. I have followed every development, every news, every publication, every achievement and all of a sudden, a perfect vacancy surfaces that has my exact academic qualification and work experience as requirement, everyone who knows me well shared this advert with me and someone is here saying i am blocking another person? SHOULD ANYONE FEEL MORE DESERVING AND ENTITLED THAN ME?

Work to some of us; is not about survival. If it was for the pay i would stay where i am because no job can be as stress free as my current job.
This is about VALUE ADDITION!

I feel you. There is nothing that makes one feel more accomplished than working in a place where you will have the opportunity of practicing what you have mastered. NERC wasn't stupid when they quoted people like you in their requirements.

If you participated or knew about NNPC 2014 recruitment during formal president Jonathan, when applicants wrote the aptitude test, invitations for interview were sent to successful applicants and suddenly the whole process was terminated till today immediately president Buhari took in charge of the presidency. I'm sure those who participated here in the recruitment can testify to this.
Let's just be praying, be patience, and be hopeful that we will be among those NERC will send the next step notification to and be finally employed.

Yes my person, it's a matter of prayers, patience and hope. See, you might be qualified in all ramifications but yet not invited!
This is a matter of time, remember the country you find yourselves.

Don't be surprised when you've people of lesser qualifications there at the end of the day with back up and instructed to have those paper qualifications or certifications soonest.
But, the job is already theirs.
Nothing, is better than prayers. I wish myself and everyone the best.
Remember, it's not a "get and die" issues. Opportunities are still ahead. I laughed when people say NERC is their place of dream because of their certification and qualifications. Pray that it is the best for you because it might not be the best.

Due to the USA terrorist attack on Abuja, I wonder if the NERC interview will be written in Abuja or the interview will be written in each candidate States of origin. We hope NERC will get back to us on this. We are all hoping to here from them this week or next week, just suggesting.

The funny thing is I heard the same thing this morning, from two separate people. One claimed her elder brother attended a zoom interview with NERC, the other knows a family friend that attended the interview online.

And you believe that? Hight profile MDAs in Nigeria doesn't do their recruitment that way except in some cases. The interview thing is not just to ask you questions and hear you talk but to look at your appearance and study your mannerism and decide if you are a good fit to the organization and their culture. In most cases, the interview gives them the opportunity to physically verify your documents, how do you think they can do all of these things through zoom interview? Please dead that talk! Let's exercise patience and wait for further communication.
