Happy Sunday guys,

Xiaomi Redmi users, please since I updated my ROM to the latest MIUI 13.0.2, nothing has been able to connect to my hotspot. I've checked the blocklist, connection limit and even reset connection settings, still the same.

Any help? It's a Redmi Note 9.

Are you sure it's not on 5ghz instead of 2.4 ?

It doesn't have IR blaster, Redmi cut way too much corners on that device. I use the 4GB/128GB variant. It lacks compass too

Yeah... anyway now to manage am

5ghz though much faster, has a shorter range.

Go to Settings > About phone > System update.

If tapping the 3-dot button shows the “Choose update package” option, click on that and choose the downloaded ROM from your internal storage or SD card. In case you don’t find the “Choose update package” option from the 3-dot menu, tap on the MIUI 11 logo inside the “System update” page several times. A prompt will then show that additional updater settings are now available. Now you can tap on Choose update package and select the MIUI 10 update file

That’s it. The system will start decrypting the file and install it automatically for you. Wait for it to finish the process, which may take 10-30 mins

Data should be on during the decryption process
Can I use this method for MIUI 12.5 updating to MIUI 13?

Depends on what you call good, a phone of 100k today used to be valued around 40-45k by early 2020, so don't get your hope high. What are your top priorities in a phone?

Something like Redmi 10C but it's has a poor Selfie camera and no Compass

You are looking for the best with a small budget when this is not 2019, that is the issue at hand. Cut your coat according to your cloth. I have said my own.

Megapixels doesn't determine how good a picture will be. The pixel 7 series have a 10mp selfie camera that takes better pictures than most 32mp selfie cameras.

Ok, if those are your priorities, then get a used phone, you can check technology market section to make your pick.

So, I'm at Raya right now to solve my Redmi Note 10 pro issue (No SIM card and Camera force closing). I'm told that:
- Board will cost me ₦144,500
- Back camera ₦42,000
- Front camera ₦14,000

So, I'm to spend ₦200,500 to get my phone working normally again. I got the phone ₦135,000 last year June. grin grin grin . looool.
May I never jam agbako phone again in my life.

The people at Raya only exist to sell parts. It's the same in India and the Philippines as well. Any fault at all, even charging port ish, na board replacement be the first recommendation.

What do you suggest? I went there on the recommendation of someone here.

Visit a good smartphone engineer, diagnose your problem and then have him fix it.

I fixed my display with a local technician in Warri here. I bought the display from AliExpress myself.

Have your problem diagnosed by a good engineer/technician, source the parts and have them fixed. Be on top of the issue and monitor the technician.

Real agbako. I want to believe the new range Redmi aren't as rugged as their initial ones. Their rugged phones stopped at Redmi 7 and Note 7.

Same happened to my phone, suddenly stopped detecting sims. Was asked to change panel....

In fact, they're very unreliable now. They no longer care about making their phones superb, just releasing subpar devices (especially low-mid range) up and down. This wasn't the Xiaomi we used to know.
I'm done with them mehn (& android if possible).

Same here....they no longer care about quality. Am done as well. If it's not Samsung or iPhone, won't touch again.
