Nigerians Angry As Naira Drops To All-Time Low: N1,000=£1 And £1,000=N1m

The sharp devaluation of the naira against foreign currencies has continued with the British Pound exchanging for N1,000 in the Parallel Market, also called the Black Market, from where most citizens source forex.

Reactions sampled on responsive social media, like Nairaland and Twitter, show anger by Nigerians who felt the development would translate to inflation, no thanks inept government money policies.

The dollar is currently N850 on the parallel, amidst fears it would also hit N1,000....

how can dey be angry when fellow Nigerians are the ones hoarding it up and down and buying when not needed .

It is a pathetic situation that will only get worst as the election approaches... For me, I have a mixed feeling about it cos my side hustle is in dollars.

No matter what you do, try to earn in dollars no matter how little... Naira is gone!!!

FG with harsh economic policy and tribal segregation is what destroyed the economy. If Tinubu becomes president, it will for sure become worst. What we need is a leader that will put up good policy with sense and allow the people drive the economy

I really pity hardworking Nigerians who are being reduced to poverty due to maladministration.
