That's a weird alternator behaviour, and your battery symbol want on?

the alternator voltage was fluctuating....somehow, the battery was charging but not optimally...eventually damaging the battery. The battery light was never illuminated on the dashboard.

A new member here. Acura MDX 2008!!

My friend just bought a Honda Accord 2008 with engine misfires, rough idle, poor fuel economy and hard gear shifting. He also observed that sometimes there is a momentary delay in engine response when he tries to accelerate.

Engine scan revealed the following faults C1555, C0700 and P2185.

Do kindly advise.

lol that car suffer me last month had all this issues expect hard gear shifting omo I nearly craze. Just change engine and u will be fine

I think the problem we have in this country is a lack of skilled mechanics. Otherwise, car owners like you won't be frustrated into replacing your engine because of a fault.

maybe so but my previous engine was shorting oil will buy 5ls under 3 days e don dry and u know the cost for oil. I nearly gave up this past months before I could change it. On the issue of unskilled mechanics I totally agree, my previous mechanics claimed if I ring the engine it won't short oil we did so under 3 days oil don't dry that ringing of engine is a full time scam.

The worst advise I can ever take is ring engine. It's a total waste of money expecially if the engine shorts oil. A new engine is always better. Expecially the 2.4 litre engine. Honda, number 1 maker of internal combustion engine actually have engine that last a taste of time if properly maintained. So, getting a new engine isn't a waste.

Nothing special, just change plugs, coolant temperature sensor or possibly the brain box if the first 2 things don't align after fixing them

Why do you change shafts like clothes? What happen to them prior to changing and what type of shafts do you buy?

New one but it look like fabricated one . If I used it for 2 weeks it will be making noise ka ka ka ka ka ka ka

Car wahala don start, discovered that it has ac issues.

1.Ac leaks after a like 2weeks of refill, i have checked for licks in the pipes around the engine bay and non is leaking, i was adviced to drop the dashboard .

2. Ac compressor doesn't pick until i set it to the highest fan speed.
Issue now is it will be blowing too cold n high and noisy.

Please is there any skilled honda ac technician that can be of help.

I think that is why the problem came from.

It’s a nice buy. Just make sure it’s actually only the engine that needs replacing and the price is right.

For P2279, ensure you carry out a throttle relearn procedure for your car.
For p0430, it seem your Catalytic converter Bank 2 is blocked replace it.

Many things can cause this problem. You’d need to take it to a professional ac technical engineer with a vacuum machine to diagnose your exact problem
