To think we were practically 'begging' Tammy with a world cup spot. I mean, we even offered starting shirt on a platter of gold to him.

That young lad, Ohaka Dominion of Water FC who dorned the #3 Jersey vs Costa Rica is some player. I hope we see more of him abeg. Quality young talent.

Nathaniel Nwosu, the GK of the U20 and U23 teams is also of Water FC.

I hate opportunistic mercenaries. We shouldn't be bothered about folks who never reckoned with us from day one and especially even now.

Inaki Williams' video declaring his allegiance to Ghana is still one of the biggest comedic nonsense I have seen this year. All lies!!! Lol

Ghana qualifies and he suddenly remembered the words of his grandfather and father. Lol. .. Opportunistic Jokers.

Jadon Sancho: The Rise and then the temporal fall/slump of a wing wizard... a lesson.

As at the 2019/2020 and 2020/21 seasons, Sancho was rightly touted as being among the top 5 best wingers on the planet. Infact, he was so good that it was suggested he could walk into almost any top team's 3 man attack back then except for Liverpool's.

As at the summer of 2021, this still stood true...

Butttttt.... fast forward to late 2022.. and Sancho won't be going to the FIFA World Cup.

What happened? Man Utd happened. He moved to Manchester Utd and just fell off big time. The tactical advantages he enjoyed at Dortmund became absent at Man Utd and today, even Bukayo Saka sits classes above Sancho.

What a big difference one year in football can make.

Mind the moves you make. Consider the tactical implications as well.

Get the best fringe players available. Those inflows na just for survival. It’s not helping us in the long run.

AndSunGorilla:
No way the Europe based guys could have played sir. The only other option would have been guys based in North America. Anyways don't forget it's a friendly and we should have gotten appearance fees as well. Now if any of those guys japa, it would result into inflows for their local teams, the NFF and our economy at large (friends, families and girlfriends too go benefit). Therefore I disagree that the friendly is a waste.

Ibrahim Said scores for Viborg to put them 3-0 up vs FC Midtjylland in the Danish DBU Pokalen Round 4.

Mark Nnamdi Ugboh on the bench for FC Midtjylland.

Joe, did you actually watch the game? The boys gave a good account of themselves really. Survival is absolutely important and thinking about too, on the long run, it gives the local players hope and something to look up to. There is absolutely nothing wrong if we export footballers out of the country. There a lot of benefits for the local league, the FA and the players themselves. Yes ilosing the games might hurt our rankings but who says they won't win with more exposure.

Another thing I had pointed out was that, as TSN had pointed out on the video show he does, there was no way for any Europe player to have played the game, just because of the timing of the game. So, are you insinuating that the NFF should have turned down the invite?

Gbam, he played really well. Infact, the team played without fear. The Bankole goalie too did well, the major issue they had was, they lacked ideas around the 18 yard box. That said, they probably had little or no time to train as well, so in my own mind (some can say myopic) it was a good game for Nigeria, unlike the Mexico game which was a disaster.

That guy should just have continued with Canada at least. He would have been a mainstay for them at this WC.

The Osimhen Effect: No Call up for England's best performing CB this season, Chris Smalling.

Highly rated and Statistically England's finest so far in 22/23 but that one moment at the Stadio Olimpico made Oga Gareth shake his head in doubt. grin grin

Don't you think it has to do with coaching?
It has more to do with administration and the system

The above two factors churn out "carpentry - specialist" coaches

TheGoodJoe:
Attacking me will not help you. If Vardy had listened to you, at 24 he would have given up believing he can become a Premier League Superstar. Express had left him. His non-league exploits were nothing compared to being an EPL Superstar. He didn't give up and he made it.

Kelechi Nwakali has the talent to make it and as long as he keeps pushing, he can still make it big.

Finito.
When a player signs for a Championship side straight from non- league for a fee that with add-ons reaching close to £2milion .

A fee that matched his pedigree as the best striker in non- league. Anybody seeing his performances would know he was going to make it big.

At that time he was like Hussain Bolt, the fastest player white English player anybody had seen. Everybody knew he was going to make it, including the birds in the sky. Just didn't know he would be a top EPL goal scorer and win the Premier league title with then lowly Leicester city.

I am talking substantive facts and objectivity and you are talking irrational emotive assumption.

You can not in any way , shape or form compare Nwakali and Vardy career. It's like comparing darkness to light.

Non- league is on my opinion one of the most difficult League to come out of. The football is blood and guts kick rush and dye. If you don't get your leg broken you count yourself blessed. It's very difficult to play technical on the deck quality football. But you f your do and or can, you will stand out.

The pitches are atrocious

U no go he hearword.
