Bring the cpi.
For example
Kenya cement is 600 kshs - not 1000 smiley - it was 550kshs before inflation this year saw it rise to 800sh - and has dropped to 600shs.
Ex factory is 430-450ks.

Generally almost everything is dropping in price in kenya.

I think next inflation will be back to below 7.5 percent - which is our target.

Just40:
I told you I like the practical price comparison and not some massage bullshit
Kenya
5L sunflower Oil - 2,754kshs (22.58usd)
Ghana
5L sunflower oil - 270ghs (18.69usd)

Kenya
Ordinary perfume Rice 5KG - 1000kshs(8.21usd)
Ghana
Ordinary perfume Rice 5kg - 86cedis (5.94usd)

Kenya
Cement - 1000kshs (8.21usd)
Ghana
Cement - 86ghs & 90 GHS (5.94usd)

Should I add sugar, wheat flour, bread and co?

Mad-cow. The link is there.
Your total revenues for 2021 including oil & gas, non-tax and grants were 46B cedis - for Jan - Sept.
If we use the exchange rate of 2021 - that is roughly 8B dollars - 9 months.
If we use the exchange rate of now smiley smiley - jesus christ - 3B dollars - like RWANDA

consumers don't buy at ex factory price ... They buy at retail prices as provided on the shelf at 1000kshs.

So you see... Generally basic stuff in your country are far more expensive than mine.. which was the point

Crazy kid

I love the way you have complete lack of understanding on anything Ghana.

This is from bank of Ghana. Oil revenue are not part of it.

Combine all of them and see how much we made in 2021

I'm sure your good at simple maths..

If my 80 billion dollars economy can generate this much revenue, then the Kenyan economy is really underperforming

The prize of cement has always been 600shs or less until inflation in march this year - and it's back to where it was.

Cement prices across major retail shops in the country reduced to around KSh 650 per 50kg bag, down from KSh 1,000 reported in March (it had basically doubled in that march-april)
https://nation.africa/kenya/business/why-prices-of-cement-steel-have-doubled--3770770
Ghana you're dealing with hyperinflation now

Ministry of Finance is custodian of all your revenues. The actual collected revenues for 9 months of last year including all oil/grants was not even 8B dollars.

As for 80B dollar economy - this year - it will be - wait for it - 20B dollars. Right now it about 35B dollars - and we still have few days to xmas.

Ghana you're dealing with hyperinflation now

but what do you think we are talking about.... Hyper inflation has driven the price of cement in Kenya to 1000kshs which is far above the price of cement in Ghana.
Almost everyone is buying cement at 5 dollars but in Kenya, it is I dollars

And this is seen in the prices of almost everything in your country.. seriously, hyperinflation is maiming you guys in Kenya
Yet you keep forging data claiming 9% inflation... It's even laughable grin grin
No wonder capital outflows from your country is so huge.. it is the largest outflow from any African country..
Sane people are taking their monies out of your collapsed economy with such desperation

Treasury knows what is revenue and what is debt.
Central bank is Treasury banker.
Some of money in Gov accounts are loans
So again only MOF knows what is revenue - tax, grants, aid-in-appropriation, mineral royalties, dividend from SOES.
And what is coming in as borrowing, what is going out to where, for what.

Central Bank is just a banker for your ministry of finance and regulator of banks. The other role of central bank is to deal with forex.

this is a revenue account and not a loan holding account. And the various revenue sources are listed.

All borrowings go into a holding account before disbursed into various expenditure accounts.
The Central bank as the banker of the govt have a clear understanding of what is what and what is not what.

SOEs dividend, mineral royalties and etc all have their various account to which they are disbursed into.

Next excuse

Enjoy your debt crisis
We don't have a debt repayment problem...

Kenya has been suffering under it IMF program for the last 2 years and defaulting... It will take 10 years to get out of this crisis and recover

You're a fool; how did Buhari wreck Nigeria? Has any president in Nigerian history made strides to the nation's infrastructure—including its roads, airports, and seaports—agricultural production, and social services as Buhari?

For me I think Buhari failed with security and human right issues but in terms of infrastructure he performed far better than many African Presidents

Kenya economy got in turbulence with rest of world after Ukraine war - somewhere march this year . The recovery has been very quick and as always the resilience of the economy continue to confound foes like you. Meanwhile Ghana is staring at decade or more of a mess.

Soon we will be back at 7-8 percent - full recovery. Ghana is somewhere close to 40% - JUNK

Obaboon cement is cheaper in Kenya of course than both Nigeria n Ghana. There was spike in March this year of pretty much everything but everything is almost back to normal now.. clinker import has been substituted by local production and cement back to 5 dollars a bag... meanwhile in both Ghana and Nigeria things have gotten increasingly bad.You cannot hide bad news.Your both facing more than 100 percent inflation.Business Daily
